Haley Barbour is a good governor of Mississippi, and he was the last great RNC chair.

Oh please give us a break. Paul couldn't pack a house full of supporters unless it was on a campus. Palin however has already broken a record never reached by a VP candidate, and never will again, that of having a larger viewing audience than that of either Presidential candidate at the acceptance speech.
To: LostInBayport
LOL. Pretty funny, considering there were 800 tickets and only 438 votes...lol.

People need to wake up to the fact that Ron Paul is a force for liberty that, for the first time since Reagan in GOP politics, has a young, collegiate following as well as an old one. Yeah..like this: Paul, Romney backers stacking straw poll deck
If Paul is like Reagan and has all this “support” why does he have to engage in mass ticket purchases for his fanatics to come vote at these events?
It makes the whole exercise meaningless. It's like competing in the Olympics against a guy that is stuffed up to the eyelids with steroids.

Any one of those candidates are much more preferable than Barack Hussein Obama. If anyone prefers Obama over our candidates is a troll or a fool or an idiot.

Don’t be surprised if Newt is angling to Sarah’s Idea man. He has said in the past if Sarah enters the race he wouldn’t but instead like to be her Chief of Staff.

Good for Newt if he said that (and meant it)!

Dont be surprised if Newt is angling to Sarahs Idea man. He has said in the past if Sarah enters the race he wouldnt but instead like to be her Chief of Staff. I haven't heard that, but Newt would make an excellent advisor for Sarah.

Yep. Don’t want Newt. Ron Paul is a non-starter, too. Somebody else decent is bound to throw their hat in the in the next 8 months or so. Its too good of an opportunity to run against a very weak Obama.

Actually, it took me a while to post, so I didn’t see that votes were bought. I was reluctant to make my post, because I knew it involved a pretty big assumption, the whole patriarchal thing, but that suspicion is not based on what I would like to believe as the media operates on what they want to believe. Not going to try and defend what I said, but the suspicion is made real by what anyone can observe in trends among southern political activists and their groups. They tend to vote for candidates that are more qualified to be pastors than Presidents. Speaking as someone who is going to attend a church tomorrow morning where women cannot be pastors, I am not trying to slam anyone on that grounds. I just think that it is ridiculous when the South his a long history of trying to get Presidents elected who have no other qualifications other than perhaps the notion that some divine finger will descend from the heavens to endow them with the knowledge and expertise they require. LOL!
To: onyx
Some people are on that thread defending Ron Paul.
BIG oops.
