Did Hawaii have any records on Obama before 2006?

THE POST & EMAIL THINKS NOT

The Hawaii Department of Health continues to ignore and stonewall legitimate requests for information which under its UIPA law should be made available to a requester within ten days.

Mr. John Charlton, our Editor-in-Chief, has made three requests for such information from the Health Department beginning in early March which the Health Department either says it does not understand or to which it has failed to respond at all.

On February 26, 2010, Mr. Charlton published an article demonstrating the Health Department’s increasing reluctance to comply with UIPA requests. He had asked for copies of handwritten pages from the “Birth Index” maintained before Hawaii’s birth records were computerized and had offered to pay for the cost of obtaining them. Specifically, he was looking for anyone with the surnames Payne, Dunham, Soetoro and Obama.

Instead, the Health Department sent a PDF file of births with the parents’ names redacted. None of the names for which Mr. Charlton had asked appeared on the list, although Mr. Charlton had obtained information independently that at least one person with one of the last names had been born during the period in question.

Since that time, Mr. Charlton has made three more requests to the Hawaii Department of Health, none of which has been addressed. The PDF which Janice Okubo, the Health Department’s Public Information Officer, released to Mr. Charlton did not contain the information he had requested.

On March 4, 2010, Mr. Charlton sent the Hawaii Health Department the following email:

I’ve been out of my mom’s basement for decades, and take a look at Fred Nerk’s post in 128 for THE answer.

It is going to take a herculean effort to get the established media, government, and the judiciary to honestly look at Obama’s past.

Ya know.... that just might be the ticket. The Kenyan is trying to push off being born in Hawaii and Hawaii is eating it up. If he wasn't, which there's a good chance he wasn't, then Hawaii is being taken for a ride. When he has to admit he lied and Hawaii was duped... well.... to save face in a case like that it would be best if Hawaii itself were to out him. Maybe that's what should be worked. Get a journalist in Hawaii to run with this. He/she would be the new Woodward and Bernstein. Even if the usurper was born in Hawaii, he's told so many lies the journalist would still be a hero in bringing them out. It'd be a win/win for the journalist.

If I remember correctly the Nordyke twins were not listed in the paper... Is this correct?

I know you would know this one Fred - you are a valuable archive of information!

A lawyer for Lakin should depose his testimony for the court.

And maybe Race though that's a bit shaky not knowing the young man's name. He went bragging to his classmates that he was a Kenyan prince and there's that "King Obama" on the sidewalk. There must be lots of Hawaiians he's bragged to about being born in Kenya.

A team should sweep Hawaii for testimony about Obama. They could probably come up with a lot.

they were...discovered some time later; as is often the case with twins, announcements are held back if one is not very strong. That may account for the delay IN THE PARENTS PLACING THE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Wow, I hadn’t seen that piece of paper with the twins names in it, that is quite large...

Now doesn’t it seem strange that both paper clippings that had ob’s supposed announcement were in were so small?

I could be wrong, I’ve looked over so much information and my brain doesn’t work as well any longer. I wish I had saved all that you have, but I know I can count on you guys.

I’d like to see a full page scan of this clipping. I have a feeling that the true owner of certificate number 151 1961 010641 appears about three names after the Nordykes.

Oh, you can bet there is an original newspaper somewhere. If the newspaper offices don’t have it (a big WHY?) then what about state library or state archives? A local public library? The University? A genealogical or historical society? A PI could locate each and everyone one of the babies or their families in the announcements because it was the thing back in those days to keep the papers and paste the announcements in baby books. I noticed on the Star, that marriages followed, so it’s possible the happy couples keep the papers as well. If someone did anything significant and it was in the paper, they might have kept it. It would take money and time but there are papers out there. Look at old stored things that were wrapped in newspapers. Newspapers were used to paper walls in homes. There’s always the old coot down the street that has hoarded everything his entire life. Long stretches, but if only people would just think what they might have.

My family owned several newspapers and several years ago we placed some in a library. We put the word out and people dug through their homes and brought us stacks of the old issues. That could work in this instance too.

So do you think we should ask for VCR-3b? How would that likely be organized? By year? Or just one big chronological list?

Sure, ask for it. It's not like you'd be vexing them more than they've already been vexed by vexatious requesters. Most likely it'd be organized in chronological order but as I've said before, everyone does things differently.
