Bookmarked for later.
Cheers!
one thing that strikes me as bizarre is Overpeck’s certitude that Deming could suddenly produce a “fake email” attributed to Overpeck ...... while recognizing that the IPCC frauds always think the worst of their critics, it still seems strange (to me anyway) to expect that such an email will be produced (which could easily be proved fraudulent with examination of server records etc.?? (unless such records no longer existed?)
makes me suspect that Overpeck is “trying out” his path of disinformation without wanting to admit to his colleagues that such an email DOES exist..... so he’s preparing the muddy the waters from the start

Looks like a good book.
Just in case you missed this ...also see the book ...at post #23.
And it looks like another nail into the coffin of the MWP deniers.
McIntyre is genius mathematician with MIT training etc. All he need was a quick review of Michael Mann's graphs (famous hockey stick) and statistics to know he smelled a rat. He reviewed the stats and charts of other "Warmist" scientists too and found such awful, squishy, unscientific representations in favor of global warming. Many of the Warmists are very bad at math and computer programming. Not just dishonest but plain bad and stupid. Not that I'm such a genius but when I read McIntyre's critiques of Warmist scientific papers he always make sense
As far as I know McIntyre really got the ball rolling first in 2003 and others followed, adding tremendously
The MWP defined drinking habits. Wine was the beverage of choice where grapes would grow. Elsewhere, beer was the everyday drink (or distilled spirits!).
Do you know when Jefferson wrote this and when he considers that the climate was warmer and more unpredictable. I am thinking about the major Laki Fissure event eruption in Iceland in 1783 which may have had effects worldwide on subsequent climate behavior.
I bought it several years ago and enjoyed reading it. I should point out that there were several very prolonged periods of sunspot absence throughout this period of which the Maunder and the Sporer are the most well known.
Crumbums and scoundrels. If academia won’t throw them out of their offices, the people should.
