That reminds me of when a co-worker can to work here from England for a week or so.

After traveling up and down the east coast during his visit we had a chance to get together and chat. I asked him if he enjoyed checking out the US? He, in his America bashing tone said “ you Americans have no creativity, virtually every city and town I went through is named after a place in England”.

I shot back in an instant, “We weren't Americans then”

I grew up in a town named after Hanover Germany in a county named after Andrew Jackson and live in a town named after Michigan’s first senator, near a town named after Napoleon.
