The Mrs and I are interested in beginning in canning. Where is a good source for reliable, airtight, mason jars and very roubust/reliable pressure cookers?

Ask your local Mormon... seriously.

But, from what I’ve gathered from this source, they are going less and less with the canning of food,

and more and more to the buying of the freeze dried stuff
as mentioned in this article.

BTW, your easiest source of good quality mason jars and canning equipment is as close as your Walmart.
