To: Blood of Tyrants

$400+ dollars went into my trash cans this week after cleaning out the 9/11 pantry. The most recent expiration date found was 2004.

THAT is precisely the reason why I love Mountain House cans.

Imagine if a SHTF scenario happens, and you go to the pantry, only to find rotten food.

For all of those who say MH is too expensive, I say “what is your life worth?”

$400 would have bought about 23 cans of food from that site. If you had been a little more vigilant and rotated your food you wouldn’t have to throw them away.

Was the stuff BAD, or did you just go by “use by” date? (I don’t follow use by dates.....that’s just something the gov’t implemented....I evaluate based on what’s in the can and if I open it, whether the seal was still there...and it smells okay.
