Federal air marshals subdued a man who authorities say attempted to "light his shoes on fire" on a United flight from Washington Reagan to Denver Wednesday night, federal law enforcement officials told ABC News.
SNIP
The suspect was identified by authorities as a diplomat in the Qatar embassy in Washington, Mohammed al Modadi. The FBI said the man had full diplomat immunity as the 3rd secretary and vice-consul.

Execute him and bury him with pig carcases as an example to all others who would attempt the same. Well to be fair we should round up his innocent family and put them on a plane and then explode it with this ahole chained to the pilots chair.
Then it would be more like what he was trying to do. His family can thank him for his efforts.

I'm with you. I'd go just about the exact opposite of obama's policy. First US city attacked by a WMD (even if only partially or marginally successfully), and Mecca becomes self-lighting and glass-topped. Second US city, Medina... Right down the list of the holiest of Islamic sites (skipping Jerusalem for obvious reasons). If I ran out of significant sites, I'd go to population centers with the highest number and percentage of Muslims. I'd trade 10 to 1 Muslims for US lives. (10 Muslims die for every US death)
Brutal? Sure. Heartless? Maybe. I believe there are only two ways to stop a foe willing to die to accomplish their goals. One, kill them first. Two, make it so outrageously expensive for them (in terms of resources and other lives lost) that they lose all support. So yeah, if that makes me a ruthless SOB so be it. Sometimes you need a ruthless SOB to protect the flock. Heck, I identified with Col. Jessep in "A Few Good Men" - I'd only fault him for leaving his men hanging.

You beat me by 1 second. My post: 10:22:59 Your post: 10:22:58 LOL! I was about 30 seconds behind you.
I was frustrated because the Admin Moderator kept removing other posts (one from Twitter, and another from Facebook) from Breaking News.
Someone linked to the ABC News story, so I thought: "Maybe he will leave THAT one in breaking news".

wikipedia -
The crash (Fight 587)was witnessed by hundreds of people, 349 of whom gave accounts of what they saw to the NTSB. About half (52%) reported a fire or explosion before the plane hit the ground. Others stated that they saw a wing detach from the aircraft, whereas in fact it was the vertical stabilizer.[8]Why would rudder loss cause fire or explosion?

I believe we are supposed to call them “intolerable acts against an unjust society” or “indiscriminate acts of indiscretion”.

If they play the diplomatic immunity card, their delegation will likely be sent home, our delegation will be called home, and Qatar will go on the terrorist list and all trade between us will be shut down.Ahh, I think you're a bit confused. The year is 2010, not 2003. Barack Obama is President now, not George W. Bush. Most likely Qatar will get an apology from Obama and $50 million in foreign aide.
