Federal air marshals subdued a man who authorities say attempted to "light his shoes on fire" on a United flight from Washington Reagan to Denver Wednesday night, federal law enforcement officials told ABC News.

The suspect was identified by authorities as a diplomat in the Qatar embassy in Washington, Mohammed al Modadi. The FBI said the man had full diplomat immunity as the 3rd secretary and vice-consul.

Really? I’m pretty sure they used to fly on overseas flights. Was that discontinued last week when Bogus POTUS decided that extra security to and from muzzie countries was not necessary anymore?
No clue how things are now. When I flew on a flight from Minneapolis to Amsterdam in 2006 there was an air marshal aboard our flight.

Easy way to end that. Call in the diplomat of the country and state, very quietly, that no waiver of diplomatic immunity for the offender will result in a classification of said country as a state sponsor of terror, and said newly classified country will experience all the consequences thereof.
That’s what an administration run by a serious person would do. This administration will apologize to Qatar for the inconvenience of their diplomat not being able to make it to his destination. They will probably charter a private jet for him, on our expense of course.
A few months from now, maybe a yearm, our esteemed President will be seen bowing before the king/president/prime minister/whatever of Qatar. This will be photographed but ignored or played down as if he had to tie his shoe, sneeze or experienced an intense back spasm. If none of that stops the bashing, the media will just discontinue talking about it at all. Well, everyone but us, Fox News, Drudge, Malkin, Levin, Rush etc...but we will be dismissed as lunatic fringe kooks who are just looking for things to hate about the President.

Now they are reporting the jerk was being a smartass after he got nabbed smoking in the lavatory... Said he was attempting to light his shoe on fire! Freaking made us scramble two F-16 fighters, move the aircraft to a secure area, and call in an FBI bomb disposal unit... all at taxpayer expense. Screw the diplomatic immunity... I hope they hang this guy by the short hairs.

I say this is the perfect case to give the death sentence and execute. We need to tell the rest of the world that “diplomatic immunity” stops when you attempt acts of mass homicide. Deportation is not a just reward - execution is. And you can let their governments and all the human rights group get all upset but you have to draw a line that says *nobody* is exempt from capital punishment for acts of terror outside a theatre of war.
Of course, Obama will probably just share a beer with him, grant him citizenship and hand him a Democrat voter registration card then turn him loose so I am speaking more as if we had an American in the White House, not a communist bastard, but an example needs to be made of this man if we are, indeed, serious about domestic terrorism. If we’re not, let that be duly noted and brought up in 2012.
