Apparently a white powdery substance was released when a secretary at a Dallas elementary school opened the mail this morning...
They were rushed to the hospital and it was determined to be non-life threatening...
HAZMAT teams at two (2) separate campuses in the area have been evacuated...
No further news at this time...
I meant to say HAZMAT on scene, and the campuses have been evacuated...
Of course it couldn’t be the kids have spring fever and want out of school. Back in the day it was pulling the fire alarm and in more recent times it’s calling in a bomb threat.
Yes that's a bad joke, and not true, but given the was schools are about "guns" with drawings, fingers, etc it sure wouldn't surprise me at all.
It may be due to the TAKS (State standardized testing) test is in preparation to be administered...This may have been a poor attempt to disrupt the effort...
My opinion, based upon the wife is a teacher...
Ohhhhhh for the days that the fire alarm was the only thing done to disrupt a school day...
Thanks for the link...I heard it break on Fox...
They said the secretary that opened the letter, she said the powder came out and she began to itch from the exposure...
Obviously, not something that happens right away from exposure to weaponized Anthrax...But it could be from “itching powder” (prank)...
But in my opinion, still something thsat needs to come down on the perp like Sherman thru Georgia!!!
Too bad corporal punishment has gone out of style...I would think this would be a marvelous opportunity to bring it back, and beat their arse in front of the entire school body!!!
Just my opinion...
I know I did some stupid things in school, and didn’t get caught (a lot of the time), but when I did, I paid the piper!!!
But I think I turned out ok...For the most part...
Fox said it was two schools...Might have heard it wrong...
The Mod Squad was real fast to determine that this was not Breaking News...
Thanks...
Two elementary schools are involved. Etheridge (sp?) in Garland and Armstrong in Sachse. Both are Garland ISD schools.
Exposed employees from both have been transported to hospitals as a precaution.
I teach in Texas and 5th grade students have a TAKS test today.
Probably chalk dust.
Stupid kids, what are they being taught these days?
MAILING is NOT the way to get drugs into school.
Kids today, sheesh.
Can you cut it with a razor blade and make lines with it?
See, that’s what I thought...
Someone’s poor idea of disrupting a state required test...
