I’m praying for all affected by this quake, hope it is not too bad, all things considered.

I need to go find a link to Mexico’s stuff. News. You know. Because I’m not hearing (on this thread) of much or ANY serious damage here.
Saw the pic of the house that WAS a two story, I heard of one death...and that’s it.
I think.
Feel free to correct me. ;

Old Japanese saying:
In case of earthquake, run upstairs,
because upstairs is a good place to be
when upstairs becomes downstairs!

I just spoke with my mom. She was sitting in her favorite chair watching TV when it hit. She is in Rancho San Diego (slightly south of El Cajon). It was enough of a shake that she was happy to be seated. At 82, her balance isn't great. No apparent damage. He big TV is still on the table. She has felt many of the aftershocks.

The quake was close enough to the incredibly dense Southern California seismometer network that it’s picking up even quite small aftershocks.

Me to. That was my first big one and we lived out in Palm Springs at the time. I have been thought quite a few over the years. Mexicali seems to be the place that was hardest hit with ths one.
