I would think there could be *patient abandonment* issues if this doctor proceeded with his plan. Perhaps it is safer/better for him to reject NEW patients on this basis.

He is not rejecting anyone. He is asking them, rather politely, to see someone else. If they come in, he doesn’t ask them how they voted, he treats them.

He’s not abandoning them.

If they choose to go somewhere else, that’s their business.

It’s not like they couldn’t ask for a referral to a new urologist and I’m sure he’d be more than happy to transfer their records.

He said he wasn’t going to refuse treatment but merely “suggested” that Obama supporters seek treatment elsewhere.

The only problem I can foresee is that this could backfire on him in that someone gets in and then when he walks in to examine that person they declare loudly “Um ah Ubama suportear” and then using their ‘free’ cellphone try to capture a slip up.
