VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?
PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

You're going around in circles, ignoring the Dec. 2009 comments again like the dunce that you are.
She called them "illegal aliens" and she says they are called "illegal" for a reason. Then she goes on to say that if you break the rules, which is something an illegal alien does(duh!) to get here, then you have to leave the country.
You do understand that an illegal alien has broken the rules to get here right?
You are going around in circles. I’ve heard that Lars interview multiple times, and I’ve read it. EVERYONE SAYS THEY DO NOT SUPPORT AMNESTY. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD.
I’m thru with your stupidity. Ping me when someone who knows what they are talking about interviews her. She can’t support McCain’s position on illegal immigration, as she has said twice now, and be against amnesty. It is impossible.
You are going around in circles. Ive heard that Lars interview multiple times, and Ive read it. EVERYONE SAYS THEY DO NOT SUPPORT AMNESTY. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD.
My above comment(now in bold) just went over your stupid flat head. I didn't say, "all she said was that she was against amnesty". I gave you additional things that she said.
Are you that dense that you can't respond to what somebody says?
I'll make it nice and simple for you since you are so slow.
- Sarah said that illegals have broken the rules to get to this country.
- Sarah said that if they break the rules they need to leave.
What part of those two ideas don't you get?
You still haven't answered the following more difficult question...
He was vehemently opposed to McCain-Kennedy, which Sarah supports. Tough pill for you fart sniffer to swallow, I know.
Selective editing. She said a bunch of crap too. Print out the entire interview, spanky. She is as coherent as you are on this. Meaning not at all.
“I support his position on immigration” - Sarah Palin, 3/27/10
You lie and then you lie again.
As was pointed out to you long ago, Sarah never said that she supported the bill McCain-Kennedy. But you keep repeating that lie.
As I've also pointed out numerous times, I haven't endorsed Sarah at this point in time and I will not endorse any candidate until I know for sure that they are really against amnesty. But that doesn't stop you from lying your little Duncan fart sniffer, off!
LOL!
I already told you that I think Sarah has said some funky thinks back in Oct. 2008.
I support his position on immigration - Sarah Palin, 3/27/10
Oh the irony of selective editing that is your above comment (duh!).
LOL!
McCain supports McCain Kennedy. Palin supports McCain’s “position”, it “makes sense” to her. Logic used to be taught in schools.
No.
McCain said he nolonger supported the McCain-Kennedy bill at CPAC in 2008 after he got the nomination. Of course McCain is a liar and he is not to be trusted, but that's not the point.
The full context of the Greata interview shows that McCain(the liar that he is) is only supporting a strong boarder and more temporary workers.
That is what Sarah appears to be agreeing with.
One can't apply logic until one u-n-d-e-r-s-t-a-n-d-s the full context.
You get?
Should I even ask?
I saw the interview too, and in all honesty I have to give her a pass on this one. She was in an absolute no win situation. She had to do the payback thing and appear to support Johnny on everything. I knew she was fudging it when I saw how fast she narrowed her agreement on his immigration policy to "it's all about" securing the borders. We all know it is much more than that very important thing. The look on her face said to me that she would have rather have been in a San Francisco bathhouse than answering these questions about McCain's policies.
She did the best she could to repay a debt, and I seriously doubt we are going to see her actively supporting any sort of lib-McCain-style amnesty bill. She's smart enough to know that would be the end of her, as it did so much to damage McCain. Plus, amnesty just doesn't fit in with the rest of her truly heart-felt conservative views. McCain is not a conservative, but Sarah really is, IMO.
McCain/Palin ran ads in spanish castigating Obama for putting poison pills into McCain-Kennedy. And notice McCain did NOT mention the double border fence in his tighten the border speech to Greta. He mentioned sh*t that won’t work, ever. And he HAS ALWAYS been for amnesty. Period, end of story. Palin supports her hero on immigration. Period, end of story.
Until she is forced to flip flop like Huck, Romney, in 2012. I fully expect she will. But she needs to explain her previous statements. Period.
If she runs, like all the candidates, she will have to clarify her position on illegal immigration.
Her Oct. 2008 will be hard to explain.
Amnesty, only encourages more illegal immigration and thus should never be allowed. A winning conservative candidate will have to make this idea crystal clear.
I want her to clarify. And I think she’ll have to. Part of her problem is being up in Alaska they probably do not get a sense of the problem the same way we do. Sarah’s got a lot going for her. But she needs to nail this. As I told socalpubbie, she has time still. My suggestion was for her to go on a hunt with Hunter and talk a few things over, and get the hell away from McCain.
And you know as well as I that 12 million is a very low ball estimate. And they ain’t all latinos either. We got chicoms, arabs, Iranians, russians, somalians and every other stripe of illegal here as well. We are at a dangerous crossroads.
FreeRepublic is turning into an echo chamber for non conservative PaulTards and 1 % candidates that only fool the lowest IQ fringers.
The PaulTards, Libertarians, and fringers are illustrating perfectly why conservatives almost never attain the Presidency.
True. Reagan was the first since Coolidge. Too bad the RINOs in the party tell us a batch of RINOs are who conservatives must support every four years.
You’re not in “the party” as you say...
The RINOs are a given. They have their man, Romney.
It’s the fringer conservatives who are the enemy to putting conservatives in.
You guys live under the illusion that if knock out the best mainstream conservative, Palin, your fringe Third Pary will miraculously win the day.
Of course the reality is that the establishment RINO wins, Romney.
Then we see the whole cycle of bitching and moaning about RINOs.
That’s odd. I supported a genuine Reaganite last time. The only other conservatives in the race were Tancredo and Tommy Thompson. Instead we were told that we had to support Rudy, Huck, Mitt or McCain if we wanted to “win”. My response was that a RINO would get his ass handed to him. I was right.
True, there were no legit conservatives in the race in 08. I supported Hunter and Tancredo as a protest vote.
But, if Palin runs, that is not the case for 2012. Palin has national appeal.
But some are dead set on assuring Romney and the establishment will win yet again.
I support Hunter not as a protest, but because he is the wisest and most conservative. If he runs again, he’s got my vote. If Palin wins the nomination I’ll support her, assuming she straightens out her thoughts on Amnesty. But I see a very good chance that DeMint, Pence, Thune, or Barbour might run too. If so, any will do. What I will never vote for is Mitt/Pawlenty/Perry/Rudy. My days of RINO voting ended long ago.
