First and foremost I think this “Marine” needs psychological counseling.
Second, no one is calling for a civil war...even though many are cautiously preparing sporadic violence/challenges.
Third, the military cannot be called out to deal with civilians.
Forth, this “Marine” doesn’t seem to bright in regards to the Constitution he has sworn to protect and defend.
Lastly, this “Marine” has no Right to threaten citizens in this manner. NO RIGHT and he should be tracked down by the military authorities.

And a

From the posted screed:
"
Nearly everyone on that base, down to our 'secretaries' has a combat award of one type or another, they've faced some of the most stressful situations on Earth where succumbing to the stress can get you killed, and they flourished."
He or she is only making matters generally worse with that BS.
"
Now I 'd like to disperse a myth here - many of you think that US military would not fight civilians. I can't speak for all, but in my case - the moment you declare civil war, you're no longer civilians. The moment you attack the constitution, you're now enemies of that constitution."
He or she is an instigator for liberal lefties, pouring gas on rhetorical political flames, lacking in firsthand combat training (amazonian feminism, REMF-ism), and moreso, in good public affairs experience.
Fellow Americans, if you've been disenfranchised a wee bit by government-paid special interests choosing all of your candidates for you, start voting with your actions with respect to the marketplace. If you don't have the self-discipline to do that or enough friends doing it with you, it's not time to do anything radical, yet. Without tactical operations like voting with your pocketbooks, you'll lose.
As for those officious individuals of you who want things to keep going just the way they are, well, that's too bad.
When men like Bill Gross speak, the latent (until now) real power behind our country listens (investors who've had enough). In due time, officious individuals won't even have equipment, jobs, duties or resources to bluster about. There are many others like Bill hard at work to get the special interests off your backs and out of government.
The whole topic is blown smoke from those who aren't going to do anything significant from either side. The real revolutionaries are already at work with perfectly legal, honorable and peaceful tactics. These things take time.
It won't hurt anyone to spend your time and money getting necessities (like food, generators, etc.) ready for any widespread disaster that might come (e.g., economic collapse). When troublemakers are trying to instigate something, that may be the best way to go. When a monster charges at you, slip aside. And help him charge into the ground beyond you. While you're snapping your pocketbooks shut, encourage the beast to spend more.

“these foundless Americans”
I’ve never encountered this term. What does it mean?
“Think about it.......They will be facing and killing regular people who they meet on the street, at movie theaters, ball games and who they have grown up with.”
They won’t be facing and killing regular people they meet on the street. They will be engaged in firefights with pissed off civilians.
In the last War Between the States there didn’t seem to be any hesitation by the troops involved to shoot down their fellow americans who spoke the same language, because their fellow americans were shooting at them. Did the National Guard troops shoot or not at their fellow citizens at Kent State? These were weekend warriors with a closer relationship (due to being a civilian more often than a soldier) with their fellow citizens than a regular and yet they opened fire! Why? Because they were scared and felt threatened.
What you are not comprehending is that all of this fellowship, countryman bonding, etc all goes down the drain at the first shot. It doesn’t matter who torches it off, either.
“This so called Marine who wrote this is no Marine I ever knew. The whole article is complete fiction.”
Irrelevant. As posted earlier I have spoken with a real Marine and we both came to a different conclusion than you.

By keeping track of who posts what on certain forums. At the risk of sounding syntactically redundant, exactly how do you translate that information to the battlefield, i.e., what system of recognition would any given soldier use when he levels his gun sights at an arbitrary target, read: citizen.

I call bull$hit. The terminology is all wrong. Many Marines simply would not fight the US citizenry and lastly it took 130,000 US troops to stop violence in Iraq; a nation of 30 million and not much bigger than Kalifornia with about 50,000 terrorists.

It is extremely painful, not usually fatal, but it requires a lot of assistance and medical attention.

So, to this Marine, the “Constitution” is whatever his masters say it is and that We The People should just SUBMIT or he’ll be happy to kill us. Charming. You’re no patriot, “Sgt C”.

The sergeant is a bit confused. He was sworn to DEFEND the Constitution not those elected constitutionally (assuming they were).
Now, first of all I don’t think there is a chance in hell that there will be a civil war anytime in the near future (certainly not in my lifetime). We will win this political battle by winning the hearts and minds of the people and at the ballot box. It is already happening.
But if there was a civil war, under the current political culture, I can guarantee you that 90% of the officer corps in the military are conservatives and have great disdain for the ‘rats, and that 65% of the troops are conservative also. They feel as we do: that the current leadership in Washington is trampling on the Constitution.
If a civil war broke out you would see a similar separation occur as it did during THE Civil War. Some would go with each side and entire units and military installations would side with the pro-constitutionalists (the conservatives).
As to the sergeant’s assertion that anyone calling for a civil war should banish the thought...I agree, but for different reasons. The Constitution is strong, it lives and we will beat back the socialists starting in November.

I also know that no more than 15,000 poorly equipped and poorly educated third world terrorists at any one time in Iraq kept most of the Army, Air Force and MC tied up for years.John Ross has a character in Unintended Consequences asserting the IRA never had more than 200 active members at a time; they kept an island the size of Arkansas tied up for decades.

Submit hell.
You have a lot of Americans to kill, because the people in this area will never submit. Bring a lot of body bags, cause someone is gonna need them. Because, you see, we are defending the Constitution also.

Holy Mackeral! I wonder what the story is.

That’s the real issue I see coming down in 2010 and especially 2012 - integrity of the elections.
Especially if there is a hastily passed quick illegal alien amnesty, with lots of quick voter registrations.
