The first paragraph is a lie. He says American conservatives. We conservatives are delighted.

What planet was Frum on ? (I know but will let you say it. )

Can you imagine what a disaster it would have been if a large group of republicans had broke ranks to help Dems pass this Obama-care?

This year is like 2006 was for democrats or 1994 for Republicans, Republicans win by opposing. It’s called ‘off year out of power’ elections.

You and me both.
I think the (stupid) thinking is
that we need to match the dems
in the race department and that Steele
can more safely criticize Obama.

Look for him to be on MSNBC as their token ‘Republican’

The plan to create jobs is simply to get Gov't out of the way.

The Democrats won't accept that simple fact since they want to control every aspect of our lives.

“What was the last administration to make [low taxes, limited government, and free enterprise capitalism] work to create Main Street jobs?”

Calvin Coolidge, after the sharp WWI recession.

JFK, after the recession and stagnation of the late 1950’s.

Ronald Reagan.

The 1994 Newt Gingrich Congress.

George Bush, after 9-11 and the 2000 stock market crash.

All five men moved unemployment below 5% and generated record tax revenues for an extended period.

As to debate, the GOP and Conservatives have no national stature leadership.

Without national stature leaders, Conservatives will spin their wheels in 2010, just like 2006 and 2008.

He is still at Chaos Manor and still writing brilliantly, considering his age and various medical conditions.

This article is so wrong, it's hard to know where to start. David Frum is not a 'leading Republican'. He's fringe, he has no audience, the only people, who care what Frum says are his mother and liberal media types, who put him on their shows to bash conservatives.

I'm not wasting any more pixels on Frum.

Planet Loser in the Moron Nebula.

He’s lying too. Republicans would have helped pass a compromise bill. Just not the monstrosity. The rats refused to compromise enough to get even 1 RINO on board.

He also buys the Daily Kos idea that passing it hurts the rats less for November than if they had failed. We’ll see about that.

Surrender advice written by another leftist idiot, and I expect more will follow. Some RINOs have given the same advice. If it were only that simple, they could have convinced Reagan “better red than dead.”
