Considering that some of the staffers within proximity of the alleged slurs were reportedly pointing cameras toward the crowd, this would seem like easy money if the story is true. As Michael Moynihan pointed out earlier this week, the anecdote has been presented as fact all over the journalism world.

A very good post. No one in the media bothered to ask why they didn’t simply use the tunnels, which are routinely used regardless of the weather. No, they wanted to manufacture a confrontation and hopefully catch it all on film but they failed. The media obliged them by going viral with this “story” that was NEVER substantiated or verified. By the way, my wife and I were there on Saturday as well, and I on Sunday.
