“The idea is to get senate Dems to vote against amendments like the one which would have prohibited taxes on those earning less than 250K (Obama campaign promise). These make good political ad material against Dems at election time this year, and probably in 2012 also.”
I heard about three amendments yesterday.
1. No convicted child molester or rapist can get erectile dysfunction medication with gov’t money.
2. All congressmen have to sign up for the health care plan.
3. All earmarks like Gator-aid and the Cornhusker kickback are removed from the bill.
Pretty good. Dems have to vote for the amendment which cause another vote in the house or they have to vote against something like #1 which would play great in 30 second sound bites.
