G.O.P. Forces New House Vote on Package of Health Bill Changes
By DAVID M. HERSZENHORN and ROBERT PEAR
WASHINGTON With the Senate working through an all-night session on a package of changes to the Democrats sweeping health care legislation, Republicans early on Thursday morning identified parliamentary problems with at least two provisions that will require the measure to be sent back to the House for yet another vote, once the Senate adopts it.
Senate Democrats had been hoping to defeat all of the amendments proposed by Republicans and to prevail on parliamentary challenges so that they could approve the measure and send it to President Obama for his signature. But the bill must comply with complex budget reconciliation rules, and Republicans identified some flaws.
Under the reconciliation rules, provisions in the bill must directly affect government spending or revenues.

Disagree -
NOW that more is known by the general public about this bill - and after the Senate just voted down many otherwise “good amendments” (in eyes of public) - the House must turn around and vote for it a second time.
IMO this second vote will be even more powerful to unseat them in November (i.e. voted twice for same piece of cr_p)
“His [obammy’s] stash. I dont know. But hes giving it to us.”
Let us fill you in on where he gets it fool.
Health care handed the GOP and Conservative groups with commercial after commercial - they will be wise to use them.
Since I do not believe Wise and GOP Leadership (re: Steele etc) can co-exist, it will be up to individual members running for office and Conservative groups to take to the airways.
Put the Dems on the offensive for voting against raising taxes on those making under 250k.
Make them defend allowing Viagra to be given to rapists/child molesters.
And for the more cerebral in the nation, make them defend the very process they used to pass this, with clips of the dems throwing fits when reconciliation was even suggested by the GOP. Also make them defend the completely invasion of our privacy with access to our medical records and bank accounts.
For the hand-out crowd, let them know they have no benefits for 4 years, there will be no $2,500 reduction in rates and oh yea, their children with preexisting conditions, NOT COVERED!!
Great summary!
You're wrong. Dems already own it. Gumming up reconcilliation can stall or possibly stop some of the worst damage this bill will do. That will mean less that the GOP will have to clean up post-2010 and 2012.
No guarantee the House will go along, but it is still the right thing to do. Whether they win or lose, GOP doesn't have to make it easy for them.
FReegards!
Agreed.
You go ahead and do that yourself.
As a long time Freeper you should know that your recommendation doesn't speak for the vast majority of any of us around here.
Quit if you like. Obama is now your master. You've bent the knee to the Kenyan.
Some of us, on the other hand, will continue to persevere even though by your own admission you may choose to do otherwise.
FReegards!
And more importantly, they're forcing the opposition to vote on politically sensitive issues (i.e., highlighting all of the flaws and broken promises in the bill) multiple times.
if by sobriety you mean he could legally drive, he mightve evaporated down to a .07 bac by now...
Ha ha! Gotcha. Let’s see how the dimocrats like a dish of their own “medicine” !!
Welcome to FR.

Come GOP, Coburn and others keep fighting this. People hate it. Medicare will be gutted. The public hates it. I know at least 3 O voters who hate it and him. This bill turned them. Run the clock out til Nov. Keep it up.
The GOP needs to keep making changes for eternity for all I care. Do not stop GOP. Endless changes. People hate this bill. The lib media can go to hell. Even Fox/Saudia sucks now.
Oddly the people who say accept this probably all watch TV and ball games to enable and enpower TV which is the main tool the Dems use for serfdom. Go watch your ball game.
The thing that sent it back to the house is the provision on student loans, their were 2 provisions that the parliamentarian ruled on. It looks like all of the other amendments slid by.
