How someone handles rebuke shows their level of maturity.

We are rebuking the RCC because of their support of “social justice” in general and this bill in particular.

How are they going to respond to the rebuke?

"Yah'shua (Jesus) did not incorporate any corporation.

True. Yah'shua (Jesus), who is God founded the Catholic Church. He bestowed the Papacy to Peter and there will be an unbroken Papacy until the end of time. Yah'shua was a Jew until he founded the Catholic Church.

Powerful story. Read the Bible sometime. The most powerful story in the history of the world.

Interesting observation.
Much of what is termed greed is projection by those who see greed. Successful people push on because they are productive and have an unquenchable desire to produce. The lazy slugs see this as greed. They just don’t get it that some people gotta create.

"Why can’t Catholics get it that “social justice” is a mixture of envy. jealousy, covetousness, theft and bitterness."

Why can't non-Catholics get that the term social justice was hijacked by the left and the new definitions reinforced by a complicit left wing media. Non-Catholics have a perception problem that could easily be remedied by simply reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

1928 Society ensures social justice when it provides the conditions that allow associations or individuals to obtain what is their due, according to their nature and their vocation. Social justice is linked to the common good and the exercise of authority.

2425 - The Church has rejected the totalitarian and atheistic ideologies associated in modem times with "communism" or "socialism." She has likewise refused to accept, in the practice of "capitalism," individualism and the absolute primacy of the law of the marketplace over human labor.

Need you ask? I’m seeing a lot of anti-Catholic threads lately. As a direct result of Stupak’s “baby killer” actions.

The Catholic Church needs to do a great deal of damage control on this Stupak issue.

There are various bad apples in any organization throughout the world; throughout the history of organizations throughout the world. The Church is comprised of over 1.1 billion people on this planet. History and human nature shows that there will be some bad apples. Those few will either wash-out, wise-up or fade-away.

The USCCB was, I am told, actually created for the purpose of lobbying Democrats to pass Democrat laws. It would have been a major player in this fiasco. The RCC has a huge official-teaching document with over a thousand items in it, and sure enough it says they frown on socialism. How the message fails to get from Rome to the bishops is beyond my ken.

If you were to read His Holy Word,
you will learn that Yah'shua will rule
the world for a thousand years
from Jerusalem on the throne of King David.

To quit being a Jew is not part of Jewish theology.

The writer nails it.

The Bishops felt they could cut themselves an all-too-clever bargain to have Medical Social Justice AND protect the unborn.

When they could not have both, they allowed themselves to buy into the Bart Stupak fantasy EO, and the babies went quite literally out with the bathwater.

If they had been speaking forceully from the pulpits all winter they could have killed this. The pathetic Pro Life handout they gave us at noon on Sunday belies their complicity.

Disingenuous. Ordinary church members have no say in policy. Just the bureaucracy. In this case the "bad apples" seem to be in charge and dictating policy.

Only 1,000 years? Heck, God has much bigger plans than those few number of days. And he's gone way beyond that year count, anyway. Everlasting is a long time. :>

Shalom to you too.

There are some pretty pregnant terms in there, such as “their due.”

Many of them are just bodies in church.

Many of them are just bodies who have no idea what the inside of a Church looks like.

Duh? The USCCB did buck the EO approach.

As a Catholic I do not see these threads about Stupak as anti-Catholic. I see them as Freepers calling out the Bishops for failure to stand-up for Life. They decided they would rather have Social Justice, and hence put up only the most token resistance to Obamacare at the very end. This betrays all Church teaching on life. These threads are quite properly calling them out on it.

Quite interesting the number of Catholics who wade into a thread like this and treat it as a blanket bash of their church.
