Sad news has reached the Temple Mount Movements, moments ago it was announced that the Supreme Court has rejected a petition for the renewal of the Korban Pesach (Passover Sacrifice).
Part of the ruling read as follows:
Indeed, the basic starting point is that every Jew has the right to the Temple Mount and pray there
However, these rights are not absolute and can limit their implementation taking into account public interest
In light of the centrality and importance of the Temple Mount many other religions, too, the danger arising from a flare of violence is not only a local threat
what is happening on the Temple Mount effect political considerations and foreign relations of the state.

Sad news for the observant, but great news for the goat.
Give me a break! There is only one "other religion" which objects to this, and that is Islam, which has been proven to have attached no great significance to the Temple Mount until very recently. Christians recognize that the Passover is a foreshadowing of the sacrifice of our Lord, which occurred during the Passover.
I thought the Passover Sacrifice was a lamb.
“However, these rights are not absolute ...”
Since when are the rights of Jews to worship on the Temple Mount not absolute?
“In light of the centrality and importance of the Temple Mount many other religions, too, the danger arising from a flare of violence is not only a local threat .
So Moses should have taken into consideration the possible objections of the Egyptians when ordering the original Passover...
Sacrifice a young lamb without blemish and resanctify the whole mount. Then rebuild the Temple.
And just another small point. Moses did order the first passover sacrifice. God did. Moses only relayed the instructions.
Moses didn't order the first passover sacrifice. God did.
either way the goat remains happy.
“the danger arising from a flare of violence is not only a local threat ”
It comes down to this: what are they more afraid of, displeasing God or displeasing the muslims?
yes, interesting to see if they try it anyway.
Normative Judaism no longer practices animal sacrifice. No Jews in Israel-- secular, Orthodox or Haredi (ultra-Orthodox)-- want to sacrifice a paschal lamb on the Temple Mount. The people asking to do this are a tiny, tiny fringe group.
But if this is not done, the Rapture can’t happen.
Don’t you want the Rapture to happen?
Why was animal sacrifice abandoned? I have a vague memory that it stopped because the Temple had been destroyed.
That’s correct.
