Democrats shouldn't expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday.
McCain and another Republican senator decried the effect health reform legislation has had on the Senate, a day after the House passed the upper chamber's bill.
GOP senators emerged Monday to warn that the health debate had taken a toll on the institution, and warning of little work between parties the rest of this year.
"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it."

How many deals is he making behind closed doors as he makes this statement.
“Cooperation between parties usually isn’t paramount in election years like 2010, with senators jockeying for campaign positioning. But some GOP members said the character of the Senate had changed by virtue of the process used on the health bill. “
So did Senator ‘Reach across the aisle’ finally figure out that a President Obama IS a scary thing and the Democrats are basturds when they aren’t whining about how it’s just not FAIR to bully the House and Senate when Republicans have a majority?
in case you haven’t noticed he DOESN’T NEED YOUR COOPERATION, JOHN
Surely Graham will be the exception? =.=
How about "Never" you old loon?
Yea.
Yea, this is a serious threat coming from Johnny McCain.
Uh huh. Riiiight.
Johnny will have his kneepads back on within a month. Call Morty and make book on it.
From which side of the aisle did he utter these words?
Get lost McCain, you whore!
Dear John:
Seeing you invited them to the freaking well, and gave them a bucket to put the poison in, it’s hard to believe you’re really surprised. But, since the NEXT big deal Obama and his Dem’s will ram thru is Amnesty for Illegals, I’m sure you’ll find it in your BIG heart to “cross the aisle” just one more time, to demonstrate your Big-tent bipartisanship. After all, with J.D. Hayworth breathing down your neck out in AZ, you’ll need every new vote from the Illegals you can get across the border!
Juan’s words sound so pretty
But his actions, betraying
Shift to the right all you RINOs
There’s an election year coming
Well Juan is like a blind squirrel, he does get one every once in a while.
Dear John McCain...if you truely loved this country...RESIGN...and let JD Hayworth take over so he can kick-a$$.
Candidate McCain speaks now.
But the Rats know very well that Incumbent McCain speaks another language.
Screw you John McCain.
Damn straight!
Next year he’ll be right back to his old self.
I just want it to be in Arizona.
...seems like the rest of the quote should include the caveat that the Republicans should not expect too much from John McCain...this year or any other year for that matter!
McCain, “And this time...I mean it!”
Congress has the Authority to pass laws, not subject to Judicial review, but the Republicans avoided that option like the plague. They can also limit the Jurisdiction of all inferior courts, but they avoided that also, and in my opinion they did so because the courts were doing their bidding, and providing cover for the Progressives.
Voting the bastards out may not be enough after this year is over.
Geez McCain. Whaddaya gonna do? Muzzle Palin and tell everyone to behave again?
Juan just means until after his winning re-election and then it’ll be back ballstothewall REACHIN ACROSS THE AISLE to his FRIENDS.
