Democrats shouldn't expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday.
McCain and another Republican senator decried the effect health reform legislation has had on the Senate, a day after the House passed the upper chamber's bill.
GOP senators emerged Monday to warn that the health debate had taken a toll on the institution, and warning of little work between parties the rest of this year.
"There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it."

McCain and the rat-f*ck Graham will support amnesty.
Well, except for amnesty.
Make them read any bill that comes up!!
YOU WERE THERE TO HELP CREATE THIS MESS SO TELLING US YOU ARE GOING TO POUT IN A CORNER IS NO CONSOLATION
I JUST REGISTERED IN ARIZONA JUST SO I CAN VOTE AGAINST YOU
Dear John,
It is your fault we are in this mess; If you had the huevos to stand up and run a hard hitting campaign things would be different.
Here is a dirty little secret, at least one minority member in each committee must vote to approve of a bill before it can move out of committee.
“(until the amnesty bill in three weeks)” Juan said out of the other side of his mouth.
He will lead the path to citizenship fight for these illegal like he did last time. He doesn’t give a damn that we 17% unemployed AMERICANS.
I hope McCain loses his primary, but the GOP Senate has to hold on to Nov. and not give Obama anything else.
The writing is also on the wall for the Rats; They'll be losing their majority in the House for sure, and possibly even in the Senate. As such, I would look for them to kill the filibuster and get passed what they can get passed before the November elections.
If they get amnesty passed, they'll cement their future as a permanent majority party, even if they pay a short-term price in the upcoming mid-terms. I think immigration "reform" is better than even money for passing. Then, it's really "ball game".
I’ll believe it when I see it.
Thanks Johnny. The adults will take it from here.
They do not need you Juan. We do not need you, Juan.
Even your precious illegals do not need you, Juan.
As long as the GOP block in the Senate stays united, the 'rats can't do anything. Unfortunately, it only takes one defection to overcome that, and there are too many with a history of defecting (including McCain himself).
If he's ticked off enough to keep Graham, Snowe, Collins, Brown, and the like in line for the next eight months, though, he'll have done his country one last great service.
Next go-around IF the GOP ever regains power, they need to throw out any naive notions of civility. The Dims play it as a blood sport.
And your sweetheart, Linseed? What is his plan?
More kneepadding with Schumer?
Oh shut up Juan. Gramnesty can’t wait to lick Obama’s amnesty boots. Sheesh.
I guess he hasn't heard about the Shumer/Ghramnisty immigration plan. At least one Republican wants us all tagged like cattle via a chipped ID card, so the illegal immigrants can come here and abuse our welfare system even more.
Now that Scott Brown is in the Senate, they need the cooperation of at least one Republican or they can't break a filibuster. Has the well been so poisoned that even the Maine twins, McCain and Grahamnesty cannot be peeled off? That will be the big question.
“Democrats shouldn’t expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday.”
OK, prove it John. Next step, immigration reform/amnesty.
