When I asked John McCain what he would say to his old friend Ted Kennedy this morning, he smiled and said "Congratulations."
But he had nothing good to say about the legislation that passed the House late last night.
Calling it "a massive government takeover of the health care system," he promised the GOP would fight it on all fronts: challenging the reconciliation "fix" bill in the Senate, moving more broadly to repeal the bill later this year, questioning its Constitutionality in the courts and, of course, hoping to reap electoral gains come November.
if McCain was running for reelection = if McCain was NOT running for reelection
Because he wouldn't be signing tomorrow the abomination that was just passed last night.
And, Juan soothed us during the 08 campaign with assurances that Obama “wasn’t a socialist”, “was a patriot”, and we “didn’t need to be frightened about a President Obama”! And, according to Juan, Obama didn’t even have a middle name!!!
we have nuthin to fear of a kenyan islamocommie...
Its nice to see John McCain campaigning for JD
Go JD!!
Once again, John McCain burnishes his credentials as the Democrats’ (ABC’s) favorite Republican.
What McCain refuses to recognize is that - for the libs, this is a WAR! For McCain and his ilk, it’s a parlor game - “you win some, you lose some.... now, let’s go have a drink..”. The other side takes no prisoners, wants no collegiality, defines “bipartisanship” as accepting their will. We won’t take back this country until we understand the level at which this is being played.
His service record was not too stellar. Ask anyone who was on the USS Zippo.
I think that almost all of them don’t care. They are “wealthy enough”, have Congressional benefits and this won’t effect them. They can move to another country after they ruin this one.
What makes you so sure?
I believe he would have gone bipartisan and bent over to help the Democrats craft the bill.
Hey McCain, The Swimmer’s grave is right by ya in DC, who don’t you go “reach out” to him as usual?
Let’s get down to it. Democrats are the ENEMY of this republic. You don’t respect or congratulate your enemy. You expose them to ridicule, opprobrium and derision.
McCain, Graham, et. al., still don’t see the enemy. They see debate teams. Everyone has drinks together after work.
I don’t think that way. These people are my mortal enemy and are destroying my kids’ future.
Obama is a communist, McCain, and we have MUCH to fear from him. McCain is without any principled game plan to defeat the enemy.
There are few words sufficient to express the loathing I have for the character of John McCain, save to state it is unfortunate that when he made it out of the Hanoi Hilton he left his mind there.
mccain on kfyi at 7:30 (15 minutes)
Good luck with that. "Pragmatic" politicians like her are the reason why this country has economic and liberty deficits. McCain is a liberal false flag operation personified, and if Palin's loyalties to it are stronger than her political philosophy (or brainpower), she's not part of the solution. She's in my rear view mirror.
