Dem win is built on sand: Now let the voters weigh in on big gov't
NY Post ^ | March 22, 2010 | Rich Lowry

The passage of ObamaCare last night was the high- water mark of the Demo cratic ascendancy.

Democrats forced through their signature initiative in an act of ideological heedlessness that will cost them seats and perhaps their majorities in the fall, and will remain a source of poisonous contention in American politics for years to come.

The vote represented a significant personal victory for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who scoffed at scaling back Democratic ambitions in the wake of the loss of Ted Kennedy's seat in Massachusetts.

She prevailed in internal Democratic deliberations and then personally lobbied a list of 68 waverers, resorting as necessary to "scary tough" tactics, in the words of an anonymous Democrat quoted by The New York Times.

So in other words, America has had the piece of shit forced on us through terrorist tactics. Nice. (s)

No matter how shameful, horrendous, or plain criminal this vote and POS HC bill is you have to recognize the fact the Dems aren't scared of the masses and vote the way they want without regard to what anyone thinks. Compare this to the gutless, stupid party who backs down time and time again.

When you gain power you have to use it to your advantage no matter how unpopular the agenda. Now, some dems may lose some seats this Nov, but unless this monstrosity is repealed what will that matter?

Where was the GOP/Steele on this? When we find out who the lone republican is who voted for this crap they need to be tarred, feathered, and run out on a rail!

What a complete travesty of and loss of liberty! And we sat back and LET it happen!

The fools will probably re-elect him.

Especially after the amnesty bill nets him an extra 5-8 million votes

oops...I thought you were talking about the punk president. Cao is in a slimey NO district that normally just elects dims. No surprise there, he was putting political survival over conscious.

It could be stalled in a GOP House in 2011 (withhold funding) and killed altogether in 2013.

LOL! By who? This thing needs to be completely repealed, and put down quicker than a rabid racoon! The republicans have proven in the past they just do NOT have the guts to do something like this, so we are going to end up dying as a nation!

What a complete travesty!

Couldn’t the next congress simple tie up the funding for the bill and delay the taxes for it?

The next congress will be elected by those given amnesty by the democrats and by fraudulent votes orchestrated by ACORN and other leftist groups.

We are not going to resolve this issue by the electoral process. It is tainted beyond repair.

Bart Stupak deserves to be at the very top of that list.
