Facebook page is on fire with support for Stupak's opponent
Daniel Benishek is running for Congress against Bart Stupak. Since Stupak announced that he cut a deal with Barack Obama and will now support Health Care Reform, Benisheks Facebook page has been on fire with well-wishes, and commitments of donations.
Benishek is pro-life, and as a surgeon knows a little about Health Care.

I am now a fan of Benishek.
He sounds good...
That was his plan all along.
I’ve added him to my facebook friends and I am sending him a contribution as well. He sounds like a good guy. If I lived in Michigan he would have my vote
I have been saying all along since he started his claim of not voting for this because of the abortion. This was about exposure, and he sure got it, didn’t he. Bastard.
I joined when he was under 400 friends about 3 hours ago. He’s now close to 5000.
Good for you. I didn’t know about him. Now I do.
Stupick is living proof you can not believe a democrat about anything- They will lie to your face about anything.
Good career move. Get out of medicine now along with the 48% of doctors who are thinking the same thing.
What’s his district like politically?
With Dems, the ends always justifies the means. That's what makes them so dangerous.
That just gives him a larger pool of angry voters to be rejected by. It also means that the turnout for the gubernatorial election will be larger than normal.
He lost the governors race this afternoon.
Is he a true conservative? I only donate to the cons not rinos.
I wonder if Benishek is of Polish descent? I only mention that because Michigan’s 1st district has traditionally been held by a representative of Polish heritage (according to wikipedia only two reps of non-Polish background have been elected to the 1st since 1925, John Conyers being one of them).
Myself, I’m for the guy whether he’s Polish, Dutch, or Outer Burgulundian.
