...what has been clear throughout this extraordinary historic debate was that Congressman Bart Stupak was a faithful Catholic and a faithful Pro-Life DEMOCRATIC Congressman who refused to compromise on the first priniciples.
He has always supported the Health Care Reform package. He is, after all, a Democrat. He simply refused to compromise on the fundamental human rights issue of our age, the Right to Life. For that, he should be honored and thanked by all Pro-Life people.Even if he is wrong.
I was not surprised when he made his announcement. He was surrounded by other Pro-Life Democrats who had made the same decision with him.
He spoke of the "greement we have been able to reach" with the President. That agreement entails the issuing of what he called an "extensive" Executive order by the President immediately upon the passage of this legislation. He honestly believes that with this Executive Order, the current Hyde Amendment language will be protected in the law. He is confident that this Executive Order will ensure that the fatal flaw with this legislation, clearly set forth by the US Bishops, which undermined the fundamental Human Right to Life, will be cured. As a Constitutional lawyer, I strongly doubt it. Though I live in Virginia, I am, to use the old adage I'm from Missouri, show me!
I do not agree with this legislation for many important procedural, constitutional and substantive reasons. However, the first and fundamental reason I opposed it was that it DID indeed open up Federal funds for the killing of innocent children. If it did not, why is the President of the United States signing an Executive Order to cure the Bill?

Stupak can no longer claim to be pro-life. He sided with Planned Parenthood on this one.

If You have an Abortion Under canon law they are Gone and must Confess and then petition return to the church.. if they continue to take Communion they are saceligious. If you Take ORAL Contraception you have Committed a Mortal Sin if you then take Communion you have Compounded your Mortal sin with sacrilege. If You Fornicate out of wedlock or Adulturey the same applies. The Catholic membership is suspended when God Abandons your SOUL when you committed Mortal sin.You Go to Confession and God returns. Venial sins just weaken your graces and damages your souls like a decay.
It would be great if they could just ask Politicians/ movie stars to leave but a Bishop is a Pastor and tries to educate and cajol them. With Politicians they are very susceptible to the sin of Pride the Root of all sin!

And! An executive order can be rescinded as it was ordered, by the stroke of a pen. Bart Stupak should be renamed Bart Stupid if he thinks that abortion will not be federally funded with this bill.....
Don’t question your Faith.... I stand on RTE 202 and RTE 1 the Busiest Intersection in PA. On Mondays 3 Hours with a simple sign No ABORTION and No TAXES FOR ABORTION. One Day I was with my Parish for 40 days for life on a wednesday in front of Planned parenthood. I Thought does that 10 seconds of Instant Positive/negative by drivers at 555 Mile per Hour have Long term effect? A priest Called Me right after that thought . I asked him he said Pray on it.. I did while he questioned me on something else. When I hung up my cell phone. This parts delivery guy walked out from the auto repair garage in front and said... ARE YOU THAT GUY THAT STANDS AT RTE 202 and RTE 1?? hahaha I cracked up ...laughing.. and said to My friend who was with Me... That answer was fast!! Did I waste my time... NO! God Told me so! two ther people stopped and asked me the same thing... one was a Lady who said her daughter saw me and began to talk about Pro Life all the way home and at Dinner. She is now Pro life! Let it happen in Gods Time... but don’t question YOUR Faith! Keep Smiling!
