There is so much conflicting news coming out right now I don’t know what to believe. However, you are correct, we simply can’t trust these people. IF their principles were genuine and not just bargaining chips they would LEAVE the Democrat Party.

Bummer has said he is willing to lose a future presidential bid over this. Is he even willing to undergo impeachment and conviction? We shall see as the tumult plays out. He’d probably be happier as Secretary General of the UN anyhow. Lots of “glory” (although very little actual power).

I’ll give you this: if the TV talking heads think Americans are angry now, they haven’t seen anything yet. The good news is that the delayed implementation of the plan (although not its taxes) gives us time to organize and reverse it. The bad news is: they’re not done yet: immigration (amnesty) and cap-and-trade (carbon tax) are the next targets.

An executive order that rescinds a specific portion of a bill passed by the legislature sounds an awful lot like a line item veto. An executive order cant make new law or violate existing law, it just tells the executive branch how to do their job. It can restrict or direct the flows of money, as long as that stays withing the law. Supposedly the senate bills has language stating that federal money cant be used for abortions, but it was too vague. Stupak wanted no insurance plans in the exchange to cover abortion, but the senate bill allows abortion coverage as long as a federal dollars dont support it. I suppose they will argue that the executive order just spells out more precisely how the federal premium credits are kept separate from the private premium payments, that they are just 'clarifying' the existing law and not writing new law. Its all a fig leaf so Stupak can save face and not become an outcast in his own party. I think Im going to go have a stiff drink.

It doesn't matter what Stupak votes now because it's for all to see that it's just political cover. He is “releasing” 7 of his “members” to get the bill passed.

Let's pray you are right but be born in Europe, I've seen dictators and before you know it - they are here and...dictate. That was too late the day they voted him in.

Now I believe God will help us and may be - just may be if we still have fair elections, and if Sarah become President, may be she will be able to clean all the mess...she did it in Alaska so may be... But teaparties are doing nothing - with a dictator, only guns can win. A lot of guns or a pure scotus like Honduras. Only we don't have that here.
