Then it can be argued that people who make such statements don't know what they're talking about. Sadly, fasting isn't as popular as it used to be for one thing. The other is, that people who ARE motivated to fast and willing to do it, are already likely taking other action as well.
Making the assumption that people who fast and pray don't do anything else is baseless. You have NOTHING on which to base that accusation.
[Not trying to be a rough pile-on because I do appreciate frankness.]
Saladin religiously fasted so much that it ultimately killed him. He was quite an achiever. Jesus also fasted. Talk about an achiever!

thanks for the ping.
Thanks for your kind reply.
Prayers and hugs.
I have thought the same for some time. It often seems that they are trying to provoke the citizens to violence; passing bills that no one reads, mega buck vacations every other week, weekly parties in the White House while the country suffers, this Indian trip, suing Arizona, etc. He must have forces ready to quell the violence. Our military? I find it hard to believe he could turn them against their family and friends. Now, the top brass might be a different story. I’m sure some of them have been turned. They may be underestimating the patriotism and basic goodness of our troops. I pray that it doesn’t come to finding out if they are right.
