Congressman Paul Broun (GA) met with a group of supporters around midnight tonight at the Cannon office building. Word is that the healthcare reform debate has distilled-down into a battle over abortion (you may already be aware) – he gave me a message and concrete list of Congressmen who (as of late-tonight) are on the fence and potential converts to vote NO tomorrow. This list is much bigger than the media is reporting – and it’s directly from Congressman Broun.

indeed, and I think that’s the point of this meeting being organized. To draw the line in the sand, especially in light of the Catholic Bishop’s statement tonight.

We still have to watch it. Not all back door deals the Dems made can be revealed, even at a later date. I’m talking about bald faced blackmail. Others include guarantees from the Obama administration that said rep wont be thrown under the bus or asked to fall on their sword. We all know that’s coming in the next year no matter how the death care vote ends.

Chin up FRiend. This is not over. It remains to be seen just how many congressmen will commit political suicide to save the “one’s” behind. He was on the hill today because the vote’s are not there. They had their celebration/ back patting session/pep rally yesterday because there is a good chance that there will be nothing to celebrate today.

I too have not been able to get to sleep. I have children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I am more concerned for their future than ever before. What a mess we have and it will take along time to pull out of it. The only thing we can do is pray.
I love my country, I have never missed a vote from the day I was old enough to vote. I was 75 this month. We can all work for a good result in November.

This is not about health care, it is about revenue and power grab. The GOP conservatives have a lot of suggestions to ease the pains in our flawed but world-beating system, none of which are in this Rat plan.
