The Daily Caller is ranking the 100 conservative friendliest counties in America. The rankings were determined using the following criteria:
There are two qualifications:
A county must be a county-level unit, which includes parishes in Louisiana, independent cities in Virginia and boroughs/municipalities in Alaska
The population must be over 50,000 as of 2008.
Results:
I’m also pleased to see it on the list Actually, the whole list should make a fine vacation destination guide.
That’s an interesting list. Notice that Williamson Co., TN is the #1 conservative country here.
It is also the home town of the late, great Harry Browne, who was the Libertarian Party’s Presidential candidate in 1996 & 2000 (& who I voted for in both elections!).
I'm surprised that Mesa County (Grand Junction) just north of you didn't make the list ... it's strongly Republican as well.
Considering Relocating? Think about Colorado Springs
I f you or a CONSERVATIVE person is considering relocating, Id invite you to tell them about this family values oasis. Id personally suggest Northern Colorado Springs as being the best and the most conservative.
And just to lay my cards on the table, I am not in the Real Estate business and make nothing off anyone moving here. I just know that Soros and others have dumped millions into Colorado and have succeeding in taking over the state government for the first time in decades recently.
The Springs loses out to Denver and Boulder in the state elections but it is still close enough to make a difference.
Pass this along.
18. El Paso County, Colo.
Largest city: Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs is the right-wing stronghold of Colorado. The Air Force Academy and NORAD are based in the county. About 19 percent of the population are civilian veterans, one of the highest rates in the nation. The other conservative influences are social: Focus on the Family is located in Colorado Springs, as are many other parachurch organizations. Colorado Springs was named by Money Magazine as the best big city to live in 2006.

Outside Magazine just ranking Colorado Springs as the best place to live.

Outside Magazine lists as a drawback that it might be get this TOO CONSERVATIVE for some people.
As you know, Money Magazine consistently usually ranks it number 1 as well.

Take America back starting at the center...
I am surprised to see some Minnesota counties listed here. Likely these are in the Congressional Districts of John Kline and Michelle Bachmann.
Where’s Gillespie County, TX? It’s missing from this list.
Each of those five links consists of two pages. Did you check both pages?
My county is Orange County, CA. It used to be considered “the bastion of conservatism.” It’s now only #83.
Gaults’ Gulch = Galt’s Gulch
Glad to see my county in CO listed.
And no Harris Cy. Texas (Houston.) The home of the oil& space industries, a shining light of capitalism over the years, great weather—and Sheila Jackson Lee. How embarrasing.
I saw that. The center of the Texas Hill Country isn’t there. Home of the National Museum of the Pacific War. Solid conservative.
number 12
douglas county colo
home for this mom!
We’re working hard on trying to move up the ranking!
Me too, surprised it’s not #1 actually.
Looks like I picked the right place to live!

Actually I believe someone made a list of most leftwing counties. The first 50 were Indian reservations, border colonias, and the poorest counties in the Deep South Black Belt. The next 50 was a mish-mash of poor and benighted and dangerous inner-city ghettos like Wayne County (Detroit) and Lake (Gary Indiana). Sorry son, college-towns and the Upper West Side are a small small slice of the Dem-voting populace. In reality, its the poor and uneducated non-English voters who are the bread-and-butter of the Dems. Hasnt changed in a century.

Georiga had 3 in the top 10.
Unless I skimmed the list too quickly, I didn’t see Michigan’s Kent or Ottawa Counties. That seems surprising.
Boulder, Colorado--25.4 square miles surrounded by reality.
Look again, Holland's county is number 51.
Let's bump this list of potential destinations for fleeing conservatives...no progressives, please.
