For the last several years, Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance “charity” have conducted “Freedom Concerts” across America. They’ve told you that they are raising money to pay for the college tuition of the children of fallen soldiers and to pay severely wounded war vets. And on Friday Night, Hannity will be honored with an award for this “Outstanding Community Service by a Radio Talk Show Host” at Talkers Magazine’s convention.
But it’s all a huge scam.

Interesting to see the hit job on Sean’s charity in the midst of his hard hitting at the healthcare fiasco DAILY on FOX! Sorry... not biting. Too bad there are so many Freepers here more than willing to pile on... shame.

Thanks for clarifying.. I think many here think program expenses = admin expenses. In a charity you have awards you make to recipients and there are also expenses associated with those awards, many of which are travel related.
I work with a charity and there are monies in a CD and monies in a special scholarship account. Some of these funds have been there for years - not wasted, just in reserve to accomplish the goals of the charity. Charity organizations have to operate much like a business and MUST hold reserves and ideally - great to be able to create a foundation where funds are properly invested and grow for the future health and longevity of the charity.
I’ve worked many a charity auction that took in lots of money, but netted much less after all of the expenses involved in getting people to attend... dinner, dance, auction expenses, shipping, postage, entertainment, lodging for invited guests and entertainment that may be needed to get your paying guests to attend... Perhaps Debbie has never spent 40 or 80 hours of her time working one of these things.
Boy FR sounds like a bunch of RATS lately.... demonizing salaries of CEOS... Yeah... knock off half of that salary and get some stupe related to another dweeb to run the organization and see how successful it is in putting on these huge events and YES raising money!

You don’t think running a charitable organization is work? You are seriously misinformed. It takes top talent to run and grow a successful charity. Do you think everyone who works for a charity gives their life and time for free? Is this Holy Orders????? The Freedom Alliance is not a religious organization with people pledging their lives in poverty to grow it.
Do you know how much was placed in reserves - trusts - cd’s...?

How much money has Debbie Schussel raised for charities? Why is she silent on that? And I want to see real numbers , exactly how much money and to whom?
The concerts are not FREE. The staff, venues etc... not FREE. Not surprising there is a large overhead. Unlike the MJ WE ARE THE WORLD... the entertainment industry has not quite stepped forward and donated everything to put on these concerts free.
You would like to think the concerts were completely without cost? Should they not have them because the light, sound, venue etc. are not free? What the heck is wrong with your head? You work for a nonprofit and don’t understand the basics of fund raising by holding events such as these? You better believe they are expensive. If you truly want to help you can add a “targeted donation” to their scholarship fund in addition to your ticket price.
