Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) said Monday he thinks House Democratic leaders are not close to having the votes to pass health reform.
In an interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren, the anti-abortion rights lawmaker said, "I'd be surprised if they have 200 votes."
House Democratic leaders need 216 to pass the bill.
Stupak noted that he is not counting votes with Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her lieutenants, calling his figure "a guesstimate."
Democratic leaders have a very different vote count, claiming they have, or are very close, to having the votes to pass a bill.
Stupak and other anti-abortion rights Democrats who voted for the House bill last year are vowing to vote no unless the abortion language is changed in the final measure. The Michigan lawmaker said there is a lot of "arm-twisting" to attract votes, adding that leadership officials are asking members what they want in the yet-to-be-released reconciliation package to secure their votes.
"NO" needs to go to 216.
The very well-organized Susan B. Anthony List is running radio ads in Nine (9) Key Congressional Districts represented by Pro-Life Democrats. They are strongly urging those Congressmen to STAND FIRM and vote NO on DeathCare.

Give us an updated list of the most critical names.
I was up at 5 a.m. sending emails. I’ll do more emails, faxes and phone calls.
Just want to make it most effedtive.
Thanks, if anyone can get those names.
We need two estimates: a count for “the bill” and a count for the “slaughter rule”. If they only have enough for the latter, a count will help to point out the usurping nature of what they are doing.
But...but...but...they are going to have the vote any day, that’s why Obama is staying in town and they kept congress in session.
It is vital we hold this off long enough to get to Easter recess and allow congress to go home for a week. They’ll get such an ear full they’ll the number against will be well over 216.
This is a fast, efficient, cool way to send a Letter to the Editor to EVERY newspaper in YOUR area, courtesy of a message system run by --- uh, pay attention here --- an Obamunist outfit known as democrats.org
1. Click here: http://my.democrats.org/page/speakout/posthouseLTE
2. Put in your Zip code. Click Participate. You will be redirected to a page where you enter all your address information. (This is required by most newspaper Letter to the Editor guidelines.)
2. Check all the boxes for all of your local papers. But DO NOT CLICK "NEXT" or you'll send a automatic pro-healthcare-Obamabot message.
3. NOW CAREFUL, THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART! INSTEAD OF CLICKING "NEXT"--- instead, scroll up and click "2. Compose Letter" --- this is in the top middle of the page. This will allow you to compose your own Letter to the Editor against the healthcare bill.
4. AGAIN, DONT CLICK "NEXT". Scroll up and click "3. Preview letter."
5. After you've previewed YOUR letter, click "Send E-mail".
Zing. That's all there is to it. It worked beautifully for me. Of course, the Obamunists may wise up at some point and start vetting the letters, and pitching out rascals like us, but they haven't wised up yet, that I know of.
Remember, Be quick, be light, be dynamite.
I also believe if they go home over Easter and find out what people really think of the “Slaughter rule” it will be dead in it’s tracks.
Frankly, voting for the Slaughter rule is WORSE in my eyes than voting outright for Obamacare. There is no doubt the Slaughter rule is the shreeding of our Constitution.
That popping sound you just heard is Kucinich’s arm being ripped out by Obama.
“It is vital we hold this off long enough to get to Easter recess and allow congress to go home for a week. “
Good thinking.
"NAME YOUR PRICE"
I just sent an e mail and letters to John Boehner. I wonder if he will respond.
When is the House going to recess for Passover and Easter? If this Obamanation of a bill doesn’t pass the House before members of the House return to their districts, it will never pass. The reason: While the Blue Dog Democrats are afraid of SEIU, NEA, ACORN (or whatever it is called now), etc., they are more afraid of their constituents who will exact an electoral death penalty on anyone who votes for this bill.
Good news. But keep fighting, FRiends.
“ing. That’s all there is to it. It worked beautifully for me. Of course, the Obamunists may wise up at some point and start vetting the letters, and pitching out rascals like us, but they haven’t wised up yet, that I know of.”
LOL!
OH, GIVE ME A PHONE |
Oh, give me a phone
Where the Democrats roam,
In the land of the Bribe and the Spin,
Where we never let up
On the Blue Doggie pups,
Cause we won't let Obamunists win.
Phone, e-mail and yell,
Whether doggies be Red, White or Blue,
Then we'll barge through the dooor,
And we'll sit on the floooor,
Till they join the Tea Party too!
Note: the Toll-Free number above will ONLY work to get you to the Congressional Switchboard (in Washington, DC)--- so you can then ask for the individual congressman by name. That's for free.
To call your Congressman's Local District Office , the above Toll-Free number is not applicable. For the local in-state office have to dial it and pay for the call yourself.

I just saw a very good analysis with names at The Hill, I think. I’ll look for the link.
In the meantime, two Virginia reps who are quite vulnerable and could use some strong encouragement to go all the way to a “no” vote are Glenn Nye and Tom Perriello. If you could give them an earful, that would be great.
ALL the Virginia pols are worth targeting. VA is not a very blue state at all.
I don’t know if anybody has done both counts, and as you suggfest, it’s significant. I’ll keep my eyes open -— and if you come across counts for the “bill” vs the “slaughter rule,” please ping me quick!
E-mail is easy.. write your own letter
From hugh hewitt.com
You can start here http://www.capitolconnect.com/freeourhealthcarenow/ by sending an e-mail to your Congressman -which will be identified by the use of your zip code- and the same e-mail will be personalized and sent to all 58 Blue Dog Democrats. As Mike Pence said on my show yesterday as he reviewed the battle against Obamacare -transcript here- the most effective contact is with your own Congressman or a member of your state’s congressional delegation.
After that effort, please hone in on these two new targets, identified by Jay Cost’s reporting: New York’s Tim Bishop (NY-1) and Arizona’s Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-8).
Bishop is being challenged by Chris Cox, Richard Nixon’s grandson and a formidable campaigner and fundraiser. Please consider a $25 or $50 contribution to Chris via his website, and then call or e-mail Bishop and let him know you contributed to Cox and there’s more where that came from if Bishop votes for Obamacare. Bishop’s contact info:
D.C. Office: Phone:
Fax: (202) 225-3143
Corum Office: (631) 696-6500
Southhampton Office: (631) 259-8450
Email
Giffords represents the Tucson area has drawn many primary opponents, but the frontrunner is probably former state senator and Army officer Jonathan Paton. Again, if you can spare $25 or $50 to Paton’s campaign, follow up that contribution with a call to Giffords’ offices with the same message as above: There’s more where that came from if you vote for Obamacare.
Gifford’s contact info:
D.C. Office: Phone: (202) 225-2542
Fax: (202) 225-0378
Tucson Office: Phone: (520) 881-3588
Sierra Vista Office: Phone: (520) 459-3115

Wait, there’s more.
Colorado’s 4rth Congressional District should be a Republican seat and my friend Tom Lucero is running to take the seat back from Betsy Markey. Please donate to Tom and then let Markey know you don’t live in her district but that you will be sending more support to Lucero if she votes for Obamacare. Markey’s contact info:
D.C. Office: Phone: 202.225.4676
Fax: 202.225.5870
Fort Collins Office: 970.221.7110

And that brings us to the Buckeyes. At least five of Ohio’s Democrats are on the fence and may vote against the bill. Please call them all. Zach Space especially has been swamped by calls and I urge you to continue to contact him again and again, and to find everyone you know who lives in his district or Ohio to do the same. Then repeat for Charlie Wilson and the others:

Here’s that list on the current Whip Count:
I agree; there will be no “reconciliation” bill in the Senate. There is no more political capital to spend on “health care.” The deed will be done and that’s exactly what the marxist leadership wants. And, they’ve already pretty much declared that before 0bama’s signature dries on the “health care” bill, Congress is off to kill the economy with cap & tax and to destroy our sovereignty with open borders.
That’s part of their gamble on health care; start the debate on something else and have everyone forget about health care by November.
