It may be tempting to feel worn down as we take one step after another towards the fundamental transformation of America that Barack Obama promised. But we mustnt let our energy be sapped, even in the face of the mind-boggling leap the Obama Administration just took that fundamentally shifts us towards more reliance on foreign energy sources. Hang on to your hat and take a look at this.
Months ago I discussed Washingtons decision to allow U.S. dollars to flow to Brazil for that nations off-shore oil drilling projects, while D.C.s attitude towards Americas own offshore developments appeared less-than-enthusiastic. We gained hope though when our President promised in his State of the Union address that hed be making tough decisions about opening new offshore areas for oil and gas development. Most of us optimistically assumed that making tough decisions meant allowing at least some offshore drilling. In fact, on national television that night I said that the President deserved kudos for acknowledging our need for domestic energy development in his speech.

Using executive power to lock up energy resources ignores the will of the American people who want to develop those resources and know that we can do so in an environmentally responsible manner.
Ignoring the American people is never good politics, but whether its energy independence or health care, our leadership in Washington is tone deaf to the commonsense solutions that Americans want.
Watching this potentially earth-shattering energy policy decision made quietly while health care transformation distracts us, it makes one wonder what else our politicians are up to. An old trick is to intentionally consume attention with a crisis so as to sap the publics energy, and then to conveniently push through rash measures that would receive great scrutiny at any another time. Remember Rahm Emanuels Saul Alinsky-style of political operation: You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.
That's right. And to think that the nation's crisis is the product of Obama's machinations. He is intentionally destroying America so people will look towards the government as their only source of getting help. I doubt that we, Americans, take such a path, as it is not in our DNA to lay down and take it; though those who still support Obama don't mind losing their freedom as the cost of some governments handouts.
I read a very interesting article yesterday by the American Thinker website called The Wilding of Sarah Palin, and basically, the article says that because Sarah is a strong, smart, pro-life and influential conservative politician, liberals and the members of the media hate her to pieces. Since Sarah won't leave the political arena, the way to destroy her is by figuratively raping her in the public discourse. They don't make observations based on Sarah's commentaries, but there are many sexual innuendo jokes, besmirching her character.
Here is an excerpt from the article just to make my point:
The Left's behavior towards Palin is not politics as usual. By their laser-focus on her body and her sexuality, leftists are defiling her. They are wilding her. And they do this with the full knowledge and complicity of the White House.
The Left has declared war on Palin because she threatens their existence. Liberals need women dependent and scared so that women, like blacks, will vote Democrat.
A strong, self-sufficient woman, Palin eschews liberal protection. Drop her off in the Alaskan bush and she'll survive just fine, thank you very much. Palin doesn't need or want anything from liberals -- not hate crimes legislation that coddles her, and not abortion, which she abhors.
Palin is a woman of deep and abiding faith. She takes no marching orders from messiah-like wannabes like Obama.
And so the Left must try to destroy her. And they are doing this in the most malicious of ways: by symbolically raping her.
Just like a perpetrator, they dehumanize her by objectifying her body. They undress her with their eyes. Link.
And that is exactly right. Whenever the Democrats or their complicit media can't respond to the substance of Sarah's comments, they attack her by demeaning her as a sexual object, or an empty headed floozie. As this article put it... the media is wilding her.
Sad thing is that she is the only one that threatens their existence. The rest are all milquetoasts
Yeah, this place would grind to a halt without us. ;’)
