Compare these two screenshots I just took. Notice the word I highlighted in my google search. Brecht Forum is a communist group.
It's not on wikipedia anymore. I had to shrink the text to be able to capture the whole page so you could see what's happened here. Not hard to figure out.
I originally figured I'd just post the google cache for you to see, but that's been cleaned also.(or more likely, the wipe occurred long enough ago that the cache cached the newer page)
I don't care what's being scrubbed, how big or little anybody does or doesn't think it is. Call it out, that's what I say.
These people on the left have a need to control the language. Not if I can help it.
One more thing.(just so it’s said)
I didn’t put much thought into my headline.
“Screenshots: The communist Brecht forum is wiping itself clean”
One might say: But BUT!!! You have no proof that Brecht or Brecht related people are who did the wiping of this information”
Alright, so I did make a bit of a logical leap.
Do you think the Heritage foundation thought it best to hide this? How about Rush Limbaugh?
Please.

The Brecht Forum owes its existence to a broad network of support. Our modest fees cover only a fraction of our costs and we rely on the progressive community for our financial survival.

THanks.
We constantly have to keep a vigil on these leftist groups. They will continually morph and change their appearance and will do so in small drips and drabs.
Makes me wonder if in a few weeks they wouldn’t have(according to wikipedia) been founded by a marxist.(in other words, what else would be cleaned?) had someone not noticed.
Assuming it matters. The wiping may continue anyways.
If you go to the Wikipedia site here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brecht_Forum
and click on the history tab over on the right you go to this page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brecht_Forum&action=history
and you will notice that it has been edited several times recently. You can also read there what was changed in the edit.
I went back to the version of Wiki that said it was a marxist/communist organization, and when I clicked on the reference that was cited to support that claim, nothing at the reference supported the claim.
That is usually why edits are done, because the citations don’t support the claim.
If you can find an acceptable source to claim it is a marxist organization, you can edit the page to put it back, and include the citation.
I have an edit account for Wiki which I use occasionally when I see stuff like this.
Didn’t I read on an earlier post that wiki was a So ros backed entity?
It’s always amazed me that people can go into it and edit it whenever they want. Why would anyone take it as “reliable information” if So ros’ $$$ is behind it and the lefties can edit? (subtle indoctrination?)
NOT that I’m disagreeing with your ferreting this “scrubbing” out—God knows, scrubbing seems to go on 24/7 with THIS administration in office.
Thank goodness for Freepers who stay on top of things like this and alert others to them.
Hope you have the screenshots in a safe place!
For some reason .. The url that I posted doesn’t lead to the actual page that I wanted you to see.
Just scroll down to where it says: “About The Brecht Forum” and click on that!

The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) was established in 1991 by five members of the United States House of Representatives: Representatives Ron Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Then-Representative Bernie Sanders was the convener and first. The founding members were concerned about the economic hardship imposed by the deepening recession, the growing inequality brought about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response at the time.
Additional House representatives joined soon, including Major Owens (D-NY), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Of course it is a communist organization. It is named after Berthold Brecht, an avowed lifelong communist. His political leanings are patently obvious to anyone who has read his writings. If any doubts persist, just go to another wikipedia page to find out more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bertolt_Brecht
I do understand the need to have citations of source material to make a wikipedia edit. The Brecht_Forum’s own website shows that they founded the New York Marxist School, are currently hosting seminars analyzing the current economic crisis by referring to Das Kapital, and hosting a “Radical Reference Public Series” Their own website would seem to be a convincing, cite-able source. How much more information is needed to describe them appropriately as Marxists/Communists?

Interesting. Thanks.

——Its always amazed me that people can go into it and edit it whenever they want.-————
That’s actually not a bad idea if you think about it. The problem enters the picture when you consider that the foundation is packed with leftists.(those who approve/disapprove edits in the background)
—————God knows, scrubbing seems to go on 24/7 with THIS administration in office.——————

It’s still scrubbed at the moment. Sure, wiki says it was founded by a marxist but doesn’t call the group communist. That part hasn’t been fixed yet.
Nice! Good find
Thanks. The naked progressives in congress
