I'll watch Pacific, but won't be surprised when American heros, Christians and Orthodoxy gets humiliated. Hollywood always slanders God and America's Constitution. I'll wager anyone that they will take advantage of their opportunity.

What was Band of Brothers like? Twisted anti-Americanism?
I’m sure this will be of interest to watch, but this generation has had enough praise heaped upon it over the decades. Conversely, they did a horrible job raising their children and we’ll have to fight a longer more costly war dislodging their spawn’s god-awful ideology from these shores.
Won’t disappoint? My guess is we’ll see LOTS of play given to cackling GI’s using the flame-throwers on cowering young J soldiers who didn’t really want to be there.
Okinawa? The film will have our GI’s eagerly shoving women & kids off banzai cliff.
I can’t imagine anything made by HBO which is not offensive to conservatives or even decent Americans.

Unfortunately, we don't do HBO nor do we know anybody that does, so the DVD will have to wait.

Dilemma is: would love to support/watch this program but cripes!!! the a**wipes who have made it are illiterate boobs (Hanks and Speilberg) who are best friends with most of the foreign enemies of the USA. Because of thinking like these guys, too many sacrificed all...can’t seem to shake that belief...
One of my friends who has since died was a medic at Iwo. I am sure they will do as good a job with Pacific.
My late FIL was a childhood and lifelong friend of Dr. Sydney Phillips. I’ve been lucky enough to speak with him on several occasions. He’s a great guy, true patriot, and quite a character with a wonderful sense of humor.
Complaining about the repeated showings of the mental romper room "Bill Maher" and Tom Hanks somewhat weird comments. Most of all, we seem to agree that after 10 Weeks, very few of us will keep HBO.
Hanks’ ignorant babblings this last week have dampened my enthusiasm for this series.
...but I’ll be watching anyway. At least tonight.
I think I will DVR the whole thing and watch it with my older sons. I was listening to Capt. Dye on KFI talk about it. Though I loathe Tom Hanks’s politics, Capt. Dye seems conservative and he was the senior military advisor on this. He says he put two years of his life into it, and that the acting was superlative. He was describing some of it today and it really piqued my interest.
Supposedly this was made to tell the stories of these men. How I hope I am not setting my sons up to watch anything anti-American.
