The article states that there has been NO complaints from neighbors about the meeting, so I don’t think running a church from a house is an issue in this town, at least among community members. It sounds to me like it might be an ordinance that another denomination, maybe a mainline Church, might have suggested to lessen the competition,so to speak. Sometimes, these small, non denominational church gatherings draw people away from larger, mainstream denominations. I hope I am just whistling in the wind, but you never know. Hard to think how the law came into being otherwise.

Don't get out to church much, huh? That's one of the least likely scenarios. The impetus is probably is someone who was part of the targeted group who got his panties in a knot over some decision in which he felt slighted, left in a huff, and then started this to retaliate.

LOL. I attend a large church. Recently a small church in our area had some financial and health problems that pretty much would have wiped them out. The elders of my church offered our facilities to them, opened our children's church to them, and told them to take as long as they needed to get back on their feet.

We also gave away a new building we had purchased to another church that was growing extremely fast but could not purchase a building yet. We simply started our own building fund over again.
