Sen. John McCain's campaign is calling on his primary challenger to disavow the backing of an anti-illegal immigration group that permits the use of terms such as "wetbacks" and "pepper bellies" derisive epithets sometimes used for immigrants on its website.
"Let's be clear: Congressman [J.D.] Hayworth's continued flirtation with extreme groups that condone racism only opens the door for liberals to falsely paint all opponents of illegal immigration as bigots. Congressman Hayworth should immediately disavow this groups support and commit to never again associating himself with groups that accept this kind of hateful and counterproductive rhetoric," McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers said in a statement Friday.

Referring to John McQueeg ... "I dont like him," Tancredo said flatly. "He is not a very pleasant person. He is nasty, mean; the skin of an onion would look deep compared to his. He has a short fuse, he is almost peculiarly unstable.
Haven’t heard a word about that. Maybe someone from AZ will enlighten us.
John McCain is an ANTI-AMERICAN BIGOT
Calling Hayowrth a Bigot for supporting Americans over Illegal Aliens is sick.
John McCain supports ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY...and is tied to groups like LA RAZA. La Raza....translated into English...means THE RACE. La Raza is a race-supremicist group that is nothing more than the HISPANIC KU KLUX KLAN
La Raza also supports the AZTLAN and RECONQUISTA movements....those that want to take back the American Southwest from the USA and give it MEXICO.
And I have not even got to McCain being supported by groups like the SEIU, MECHA, and other extreme groups....for his support of ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY.
Its is time to get rid of McCain.
Now where did John McCain pick up this little turn of phrase.?
McCain is an idiot.
How does that differ really? What extreme groups? He means conservatives. McCain called us racists back in the last CIR debacle.
He cannot hide from this. All he can do is use cheap shots at JD like this.
A pox on him.
Last nightIllinois Sheriff Mark Curran spoke trying to defend his Flip Flop on illegal immigration. Where has he gotten his new found RESOLVE to support Amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens?
ILLINOIS REPUBLICAN PARTY CHAIRMAN PAT BRADY
and ILLINOIS SECRETARY OF STATE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE ROBERTO ENRIQUEZ who wants to give Drivers Licenses to illegal aliens.
And now, My TEA PARTY FRIENDS Illinois Tea Party Hero Governor candidate Adam Andrzejewsk is helping Roberto Enriquez in his race and Adam is promoting MARK KIRK.
The Illinois Republican Party will not support a Candidate unless they support AMNESTY, specifically the Shumer Graham Amnesty Bill.
More Scott Brown Clones! Get Tea Party Support then AFTER the election STICK IT TO THEM!!
Why would you want to help McCain not shoot himself in the foot?
I hope McCain pays the price for his immigration stance and his global warming junk science stance.
How DARE he call us names because we want the law enforced and people to come here legally?
B*****d.
Where does he call opponents of illegal immigration “bigots”??? He doesn’t. That is lying done by the OP and erodes the integrity of this site.

ALIPAC Calls for John McCain to Apologize To Minorities
March 12, 2010
CONTACT: Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) www.alipac.us (866) 703-0864
The multi-racial political action committee called Americans for Legal Immigration PAC or ALIPAC rebuked Senator John McCain's latest smear attempt and calls on candidate McCain to apologize to the group's minority supporters.
"McCain's campaign is pretty desperate to grab highly inaccurate information off of a left wing blog and try to use it without fact checking in a GOP primary," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "We are calling on John McCain to apologize immediately to the thousands of minorities who support ALIPAC and oppose illegal immigration!"
John McCain's campaign just sent out a press release citing inaccurate information from a left wing pro-Democrat blog called the Phoenix New Times. The McCain campaign makes the false claim that ALIPAC supports, endorses, and uses racially charged terms such as "Wetback" and "Pepper belly" and that ALIPAC is supported by the KKK.
ALIPAC is a multi-racial organizations with about 20% of the groups supporters being minorities. ALIPAC works openly with black and Hispanic leaders and organizations as documented in the national media. ALIPAC's President, William Gheen, has a background in civil rights campaigns. ALIPAC has publicly rebuked racist groups and organizations on many occasions and the groups platform calls for "Americans of ever race..." to participate.
The word "Wetback" and "Pepper belly" do appear on ALIPAC's website in the Discussion Groups comments section which are open source.
All posts made in comments are covered by ALIPAC's disclaimer that proclaims in 14 locations....
"ALIPAC is not responsible for the content of posts, comments, articles, and links to other organizations. Posting here does not imply endorsement or support. Posts from the public here are NOT organizational statements or the positions of ALIPAC. Official ALIPAC organizational positions and statements are found on the main site at www.alipac.us .... ALIPAC enjoys the support of Americans from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds. We are Americans United to fight illegal immigration. Our boards are open to all that share our cause. NO RACISM AND NO RACE BAITING"
The word 'Wetback' appears on the site in the phrase Operation Wetback which refers to the historic deportation of millions of illegal aliens under President Dwight Eisenhower. A simple Google search indicates that the term "Operation Wetback" appears on over 90,000 websites, including Wikipedia, PBS, and Snopes to name a few. Would John McCain call PBS racist for having the word Wetback on their website?
The word "pepper belly" appears in text documented from a pro-Amnesty blogger website, where ALIPAC activists sought to document the racism found on another website. No ALIPAC supporter wrote those words.
To illustrate ALIPAC's position of strength in this matter, links to both comments in question are provided here and being mounted on ALIPAC's homepage.

"I've been involved with and worked on hundreds of campaigns in my life," said William Gheen who previously worked as a campaign consultant. "This attack from John McCain's campaign is the dirtiest, most low down, false, and deceptive thing I've ever seen. To suggest that multi-racial groups and our black and Hispanic supporters are somehow working with the KKK is ludicrous. John McCain should immediately apologize to our minority supporters and to the public for trying to be deceptive."
The Anti-Defamation League, which actively supports Amnesty for illegal aliens and opposes ALIPAC's pro-enforcement positions, made the false claim that ALIPAC was supported by the KKK because some racist made a comment on some website supporting ALIPAC's opposition to illegal immigration.
"Looks like McCain and Obama are just alike on illegal immigration," said William Gheen. "They both want to label anyone that opposes them as a racist. By doing so they are in truth claiming a majority of Americans of every race are racists."
For more information about ALIPAC, or to schedule interviews with our minority supporters, please visit www.alipac.us
ALIPAC's Minority supporters are encouraged to contact the McCain campaign to demand an apology from Brian Rogers at (602) 604-2010.

President Eisenhower’s program for deporting illegal aliens was called “Operation Wetback”.
So according to No Borders McCain, Ike was an extremist and a bigot. Screw you, McCain.
It doesn't take a genius to understand that taking any advice from one of McCain's campaign staff is not a good idea. You ask yourself, "What is Rogers' motive for making this suggestion to Hayworth?". He is being paid to help McCain win his election.
This will probably appear to be overly parsing the McCain statement, but my reading of the statement in read is that illegal immigration opponents should not be painted with a broad brush as bigots, but associating with fringe groups who have shown themselves to be bigoted gives libs the ammo to paint us all as bigots.
Hard for me to stomach McCain, but this statement doesn’t give me as much heartburn as other things McCain has said and done, i.e. Gang of 14, playing nice with lib media, etc.
Get real. Condoning racism is as bad or equal to calling us bigots.
Hey, he and his wife have something like 11 homes. You think they could get at $50/hr American's to clean, mow?
Check this out.
JD CANNOT win the general in AZ with this kind of rhetoric.
