A few nights ago I saw that ``Forrest Gump'' was on one of the cable channels. Although I saw the movie when it came out in the 90's, I refused to watch it this time. Tom Hanks is a disgrace and I'm one of those that simply can't draw a wall between the art and the artisan.

For those that follow such things, was Hanks always such a bad man? He may have been left-leaning when ``Gump'' came out but as for this very vocal, over-the-top hatred of America, is that a recent stance he's adopted?

Maybe he's looking for a role in a major movie...

I really believe that these "artists" are incapable of independent thought and rational analysis. Adopting the childish and naive Hollywood group-think earns them cuddles from their peers. This makes them "feel" good all over. Therefore, it becomes their point of view.

Although “Gump” was great at moments—like the maggot-infested, dope-smoking creep blaming “Johnson and this war” for his beating his girlfriend—it was a lefty film. The moral was: The patriotic heroes Americans admire most are really retards stumbling into glory.
