Don Imus’s Take on ‘Tehran Tom’ Hanks: ‘another panty-wearing liberal dickweed’

Don Imus, for one, is not surprised by Tom Hanks' recent comments calling WWII and the War on Terrorism racist crusades undertaken by the United States.

First brought to his attention by "Imus in the Morning" producer Bernard McGuirk on the show, the remarks were news to the host - just not shocking news.

"Oh darn, what a surprise. We have another panty-wearing liberal dickweed from Hollywood - of course!" Imus told McGuirk.

Oh no!

Now for the next few weeks, poor old Imus will be stuck apologizing to all of the panty-wearing liberal dickweeds from Hollywood.

Doesn’t Imus recognize the damage that his hurtful comments may have done to the children of the panty-wearing liberal dickweeds from Hollywood.

Poor Imus... here goes a bunch more money.

is that a recent stance he's adopted?

I really believe that these "artists" are incapable of independent thought and rational analysis. Adopting the childish and naive Hollywood group-think earns them cuddles from their peers. This makes them "feel" good all over. Therefore, it becomes their point of view.

A few nights ago I saw that ``Forrest Gump'' was on one of the cable channels. Although I saw the movie when it came out in the 90's, I refused to watch it this time. Tom Hanks is a disgrace and I'm one of those that simply can't draw a wall between the art and the artisan.

Lt. Dan shoulda kicked his ass.

He did a good job on band of brothers and has shown respect for war veterans. From the associated links it appears he may have been taken out of context.

Even so he is a liberal and an actor.

Maybe you were thinking of Sweet Home Alabama, another World Class Chick Flick

Tom Hanks wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in Nazi Germany or any other totalitarian regime. The minute he opened his big mouth to protest against Hitler he'd have been whisked away by the SS and never seen alive again. It's easy for Tom to act brave, high and mighty in our great country, but I think he's a big pantty waist ignorent jerk.

I just hate it when they act like liberal retards.

Yep, me too. Hubby and myself decline to patronize their "work" once they have "come out" politically. In other ways I'm glad they do because it forces me to seek out dvds and go to movies starring those who are wise enough to keep their yaps shut and their agendas to themselves.

...a liberal and an actor.

From the ``Department of Redundancy Department''. :-)

Modulo Robert Duvall and handful of others, of course.

Unfortunetly, I only wish I could aggree with you. Avatar, an extermely liberal movie with great special effects is making a HUGE amount of money.
Alice in Wonderland just broke the record for the largest opening weekend EVER. It stars Johnny Depp, another extremely talented but liberal actor.
Please remember their target audience is teenagers and twenty somethings for the most part.

What do you consider “revisionist” about Band of Brothers?

I thought Band of Brothers was excellent. I haven’t seen The Pacific yet and so can’t comment on it.

Band of Brothers was produced before 9-11-2001, which occurred in between the screenings of episodes 2 & 3. It seems Hollywood went even ffurther left after 9-11.
