I think they are trying to intimidate the Court. Either that, or set it up for packing the court. Similar to changing the filibuster rule.

They have no sense of history, no sense of honor, no sense of value or values, just the desire for pure, raw power, and the ability to use it.

Yeah, I suspect this too. The Democrats have been bashing the Court for months. Any day I expect Osama to announce that it only "makes sense" to expand the court to 12 and then submit all far-left nominees.
