It’ an empty threat. Think about it. Dems pass original bill, plus a separate bill eliminating or limiting federal funding of abortion. Do you REALLY think the Republicans will have the stones to carry out the threat and vote against the second bill? The pro-life groups would castrate them.
Foolish. Don’t give away your strategy. Let the Democrats engage in bombast. They’re better at it.

He is the one who first proclaimed that reconcilliation was nothing more than a trick Senate Democrats are playing on House Democrats.
Now Republicans have adopted it as their own strategy.
The President Pro Tempore of the Senate is Robert Byrd, D, West Virginia. He will not ignore points of order.
Therefore, Vice President Biden will be there. However, it still doesn’t work. All revenue bills must start in the House. This has taxes, therefore it is a revenue bill. So, even if Obama signs something, it will be appealed directly to the Supreme Court, which will rule 5-4. At present, Kennedy is the swing vote. My guess is that he votes with the Catholics.
Hold the line, Republicans, and we'll be High Fiving while the slippery slope gang will busy themselves with re warming their "mud" (they may have to reinjest it).

The Stupak amendment only got 45 votes in the Senate back in December.
Harrah for Senators with courage and lawful behavior. The bill is unconstitutional, like much of the DC gang’s activities.
