A Desperate President (Is O the new Capt Queeg?)
nro ^ | 3/10/2010 | Jeffrey H. Anderson

Posted on 03/10/2010 11:10:06 AM PST by milwguy

Don't believe the hype. President Obama is a desperate man.

Our side — by which I mean the vast majority of Americans who oppose Obamacare — needs to channel some of that sunny Reaganesque optimism and remember that this is a republic, not a monarchy. In America, the government is ultimately accountable to the people, and that puts President Obama and his agenda at a tremendous disadvantage.

The president would like you to believe that he's riding a wave of newfound momentum. But where would this wave have come from? From his long-winded and widely panned performance at the "health summit"? From a new poll showing that 57 percent of Americans think Obamacare would hurt the economy, while only 25 percent think it would help it? From polls showing that 81 percent of Americans think Obamacare would cost even more than projected, while only 17 percent think it would lower health costs?

In truth, this "wave" is just President Obama's desperation kicked into a higher gear — as he and his minions proceed to look into every crevice and under every rock for ways to try to ram a highly unpopular piece of legislation through Congress on a purely partisan vote.

Instead of buying into the notion that President Obama is riding an invisible wave toward the inevitable passage of Obamacare, we should instead view him as he is: a desperate man who can't give up on this one last, best shot to pass legislation to fundamentally shift America from the liberalism of the Founding — based on freedom and respect for inalienable natural rights — to the liberalism of the modern European Democratic Socialist state.

POTUS may soon be seen uttering my version of the famous Cptn. Queeg below if ObamaCare goes down.

Ahh, but the strawberries(health care) that's... that's where I had them. They laughed at me and made jokes but I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt and with... geometric logic... that a duplicate key to the wardroom icebox(votes in the House) DID exist, and I'd have produced that key(votes) if they hadn't of pulled the Caine(health care vote) out of action(off the floor). I, I, I know now they were only trying to protect some fellow officers(the public)...

As I told the staffers of my two Senators earlier this afternoon, we are a free people and we intend to stay that way whether the Obama administration/Congress likes it or not.

“even though the combined annual profits of America’s ten largest insurers are only $8.3 billion, which is one-seventh of what Medicare loses each year to fraud”

A fact which should be repeated over and over. Another fact which should be used against the libs is that Google, that paragon of liberalism, made $6.5 BILLION last year, Apple, another liberal darling, made $5.7 BILLION, and MSFT made a whopping $14.5 BILLION in fiscal 09. So the liberal computer corps between the three made $26.7 BILLION, while the evil insurance companies made less than 1/3rd of that.

The only bipartisan position is the one AGAINST Obamacare.

Maybe true, but a terribly unfair comparison to Philip Francis Queeg. Queeg had been seven years in the Navy and had served with honor in the war prior to his coming to the Caine. He broke, his reputation shattered, but he had had a reputation to be proud of.

The same can in no way be said of President Obama. He has no achievements, no record of service to his country, only an overpraised facility with words and the ability to be a blank page on which people can write their own scripts.

And there are probably a fair number of Dems in Congress who rely on that Medicare Fraud as a basis for keeping their office...funneling that gravy train to the pocketbooks of their protectors. The Unions have to make a few dollars on the Medicare Fraud as well.

Me thinks there are not enough votes. People are realizing Obama hasn’t succeeded in one thing he has attempted. Also he has not attempted ONE thing he promised in the campaign. No one wants to follow or support someone with a track record like that.

Obozo is like Capt. Ahab who is about to get killed by Moby Dick.

I agree. Captain Queeq actually achieved something and didn’t have millions of servile minnions kissing his ass. Obama has done nothing and confuses all that adoration from idiots as achievement. He’s the biggest fraud in American History. Nothing but banal cliches and nonsense.

Capt.’Yellow Stain” Queeg had balls of steel.
Zero has no balls of any variety, although his spouse might.

Keep calling and faxing. Make sure you are getting to House members. www.faxzero.com allows two free faxes per day.

We have to
1. Kill Obamacare.
2. Kill any idea of amnesty.
3. Make sure Juan McCain loses his primary. McCain is a back stabbing pro-amnesty RINO.

‘O’ couldn’t serve coffee to Queeg. Queeg was a burned out from stress of combat, the zero does not qualify.
