As a related aside here, I've been feeding my pooch (now 4 years old) a diet of raw chicken (with bones), raw turkey necks, and chicken offal (hearts, livers, etc). [there are days she gets non-mean meals - eggs, fruits, veggies, essential oils, to round things out].
Seems to me there is a good dose of salmonella in there.

Well, part of this problem might be that dog owners usually touch the food, and if not expecting to wash hands afterward, could infect themselves.
It is a bit of a stretch, but possible.
hmm....and yesterday they recalled Cheeseburger Flavored Pringles for the same reason....coincidence??
Tom Daschel’s Mother hit hardest...
You know because she has to eat cat food because her well to do son could give a crap about her well being because he let’s the government take care of her and only brings her out when he needs a sob story about how bad she has it.
Thanks for posting.
This is the brand that purchase. I use their freeze dried lamb, and I called Nature’s Variety to make sure that the chicken is the only recall.
They have an informative article on their new processing procedures.
Somewhat related: “Shopper card information was successfully used to determine specific brands of a product suspected to cause illness. Ill persons gave permission for public health officials to retrieve purchase information based on shopper card numbers. Additionally, a case-control study was conducted which suggested that the individuals who became ill ate salami/salame products a week prior to becoming ill.”
