WASHINGTON -- A "fired-up" President Obama yesterday took the fight of his political life out of the Capitol's intractable committee rooms and into the heartland -- staging a desperate campaign-like rally to try to win support for health-care reform.
The president mustered all of the optimism and oratory of the 2008 election in a bid to rescue reform -- and protect his party's congressional majority and possibly even his chances for a second term.
"Now since we took this issue on a year ago, there have been plenty of folks in Washington who've said that the politics is just too hard," Obama told a rousing crowd of 1,800 at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pa. -- his first road trip to sell health reform in six months. "My question to them is: When is the right time? If not now, when? If not us, who?"

Obama is obsessed with socialist health care while the whole nation goes to hell in a hand basket, economically.

did Bam credit The Dead Kennedy`s for that quote ?
Now this sounds like President Wilson taking his League of Nations plan to the people—all that happened was he got sick. The American People don’t want it and no fake town halls or focus groups will turn public opinion.
Saw Bam on the telly, hallelujah! When illogical argument fails, appeal to emotion! Nice Bam, just like sitting in Revenend Wrights church of wrongs! Sweet Jesus heal me cause the government won’t.
His “town halls” are nothing more than preaching to the choir. Why not do a REAL town hall?
Reminds me of a "Casey at the Bat" theme. With all that is going on and wrong in the world today, how is this non-issue the most important thing?
It is more than a non-issue in that health care government take over is the tipping point to socialism for our country, national socialists.
1800?
Pathetic.
nobama isn’t “fired up”. He’s maybe “mixed up” or “desperate”. nobama ought to be “fired”. He is such a destroyer-clown.
And my answer to him is, "The right time is now now. If not now, the right time is never. If not us, the right people is no one.
"In short, Mister Obama, take your socialism and communism back to Kenya."
Remember when Hillary was introduced at a ballgame? She was booed mercilessly. If Zer0 tried to face the public, he’d receive an even worse reaction which would shatter his phony self-confidence.
In fact, he is so “delicate” that when he was scheduled to toss out the first pitch in St. Louis last year, his handlers insisted that the hugely popular Albert Pujols take the toss (calling that girly effort a “pitch” would be an injustice to pitchers everywhere) rather than the team’s catcher because Pujols was guaranteed an ovation no matter who he was on the field with. Zer0 was on the field amid a roar of applause but it was most certainly not intended for him!
More likely "liquored up."
The only thing ‘fired-up” about Obama is his pipe.
The man is as ignant as his his cabinet.
0 is a one trick pony. The staged speeches in the hinterlands got old a long time ago.
Counting to two by pawing at the dirt isn’t impressive. It should be obvious by now that the great community organizer has zip in the way of executive skills.
And.... I am loving it!
Sarah could get a bigger crowd to watch her sign books, but she has the advantage of being an American, one who loves our country.
on the contrary, I suspect the latest Obama Traveling Road Show is just going to drive his numbers even lower
Just go around and tell everyone you meet that they will get health care in FOUR years but will pay for it now till then. The look on the faces is priceless.
“Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.
