“So when every level of government and media in the USSR repeated that last year’s harvest was 96 percent successful, no one could logically reconcile that with the fact that there was no actual bread anywhere to be found. Forced to choose between believing in the propaganda of a successful harvest or the reality that there was no bread—they went on believing in the propaganda, because lies had become their reality.”

If this doesn’t sum up “the stimulus worked... economy has turned around... job losses are reversing...green shoots...” I don’t know what does. I am terrified that not only do we have a man who has held communist ties from birth practically, to every facet of his professional life-even joining the Socialist Party for a while before switching to Democrat- and now employing Soviet tactics with the FULL backing and compliance by our supposed watchdog media.

I long for the 80’s. As a child (first grade in 1979) I was aware of the gas rations, the inflation, my parents didn’t make me worry but explained how we had to be careful with money and so on. I really remember watching my dad cyphon gas with a garden hose from one car to another when the one broke down and had perfectly good gas in it, LOL! But I do distinctly remember being aware from about 1984 onward how proud I was of America. How safe and secure I felt and that feeling holds a picture in my mind of Ronald Reagan. I didn’t know anything about politics, I just know I felt confidant that Russia wouldn’t be a problem. I felt hope, and intense hope. And I know I FELT good when I saw President Reagan’s smile. That fact was brought back to my mind when my oldest daughter randomly commented in the election when seeing Obama splashed across the news, how Obama’s smile made her stomach hurt. It spoke volumes to me also and that she-a child/teen- could pick up on what half the country could not. How did she see the deception and millions more see not just the reversal, but a reversal to an extreme? Placing him as a savior!?!

I think the Democrats have it backward, JFK was one who didn’t. Modern Democrats create a crisis to bend us to their will. JFK and old school Republicans (excluding Nixon) understood that you could get more accomplished by NOT having the nation in a panic. If you make people feel safe, content and secure, they will be content to go about their lives and let you deal with governing. Speaking strictly as a political tactic, mind you. I hope they continue to screw up getting their stupid agenda through.

I also think they learned the wrong lesson from Bush and 09/11. They saw Bush pushing through an “agenda” (Patriot Act) as taking advantage of a crisis. They didn’t realize that Bush made America feel SAFE! Even after the worst attack on American soil in HISTORY, he made them feel ok. Yes, he got things passed that would be controversial, but not because we were coerced from fear. No, the opposite! We, the people, said “Do what you need to do.” He gave us a sense of trust. While those who were pissed that he was President and not Gore, they would never be happy. Or never trust Bush. The average American did. Even my liberal friends, soon after 09/11 commented that George Bush made them feel like their dad when someone was scaring them. Just that safe feeling. Sorry I’m rambling, just been thinking a lot lately of the mood of the country. Probably wasted this post for a total of three people to read it, LOL! Hope you three understand the point I am trying to make here.

Anyway, I am sad we have reached this point in our history, that we have to fight communism from the highest point of authority. Is the nation truly split 50/50? One side determined to become socialist, even accepting of communist? The other not? If so, maybe we SHOULD just split the nation in two. I would hate to think of a civil war, but I will fight to keep America free and away from the communist hands.

Go to YouTube and search for Reagan’s Morning in America video. It will bring tears to the eyes.

I remember interest rates skyrocketing during Carter then Reagan telling Volcker to slam on the brakes.
