Sarah Palin -- reality TV star?
The former Alaska governor is teaming with uber-producer Mark Burnett to shop a reality series about her home state, network sources confirm.
Palin and Burnett made the rounds at at least three of the major broadcasters (NBC, ABC and Fox) while in Los Angeles for her taping of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" this week.

She must not have been satisfied with merely pulling herself from any serious presidential consideration by quitting her job as governor. If she does a reality TV show, only her most ‘dedicated’ supporters could continue to promote the idea of her running.
I don’t believe she’s running anyway. Her appearance on Leno was all the evidence anyone needs. Someone running for president wouldn’t make such an appearance and act so non-presidential doing it.
Good for her. I think it’s a great idea.
So OBAMA wasn’t running for President going on all of those late night shows? HMMMM! better tell McCain he won then.
I find it hilarious, and a little disturbing how the joke that 0bama was is now the gold standard of what being qualified to be president is.
How has it come to be that a “reality show” means it’s phony as hell?
The great perceived value of presidential candidates going on the late night shows, and seeming "human", probably started when Slick Willie played his saxophone on one of them and that was thought to have given him a big boost in 1992.
Obama is not the standard for anything, you just said that “someone running for president wouldn’t make such an appearance and act so non-presidential” well Mitt was on Letterman and told jokes like Sarah, was he being non-presidential?
Bush Jr. Al Gore, Bill Clinton, McCain, Kerry, Fred Thompson and many other have done similar late night trips but if it’s Sarah it must be bad......Your slip is showing! LOL!
“During the September 16, 1968 episode, Richard Nixon, running for president, appeared for a few seconds with a disbelieving vocal inflection, asking “Sock it to me?” Nixon was not doused or assaulted. An invitation was extended to Nixon’s opponent, Vice-President Hubert Humphrey, but he declined.[2] According to George Schlatter, the show’s creator, “Humphrey later said that not doing it may have cost him the election”, and “[Nixon] said the rest of his life that appearing on Laugh-In is what got him elected. And I believe that. And I’ve had to live with that.”

Met Palin in early 90's, I'm ashamed of all these posts questioning Palin's character & judgment. I wonder how many people really have ever experienced the freedom that still remains up here in Alaska? I'm just glad the wifey and I had the integrity to think about somewhere's better maybe and had the guts to throw it all in and head north. No regrets for sure.
Also: My old conservative neighbor who passed away last fall homesteaded his place in 1942. He always called Jay Hammond the bush socialist; I guess in lower 48 Hammond would be called today's republican.
“Reality show” is a term that is as loaded as an anti-aircraft gun. If that’s what Sarah Palin chose to market her idea as, she’s obviously not a very good media marketer. That doesn’t mean she’d be a lousy president.
A hubbub has sprouted ... ;)
A nice scene would be one of her and Todd arguing about where to plug in the tanning bed.
Knock off the name calling and personal attacks. Kindly keep your discussion on the topic. Thank you.
Will set her up handily to increase her exposure--and power. She'll be able to define herself on her own terms.
(does it seem to you that this thread and participants is sort of...trolly? I mean, all this “Sarah is now toast” sounds like soundbites that could be written to the minions of Media Matters. I just hope it is not coming from another GOPer)
