House and Senate Republicans have downplayed reports that Democrats may have the votes, with House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) having released a memo last week outlining GOP math on the health bill.
The Senate's fourth-ranking Republican also said he's not confident Democrats will having the votes, while pledging GOP efforts to slow or halt the legislation.
"You know, I don't want to concede that it's going to pass for sure yet," Republican Policy Committee Chairman John Thune (S.D.) said. "I still think that there's a lot of clock left in this game."
Life..is about to get very interesting...regardless of the outcome here....
They are all hedging their answers, bluffing, and LYING. If they had the votes, a vote would be getting held THIS MOMENT!!!
if true they would pass the Senate bill TODAY.
1) they cannot trust that the Senate will actually follow-through on the changes they are demanding via reconciliation
2) they cannot be confident that Senate Republicans can’t derail all or part of those changes with parliamentary tactics
If you were a House Dem who didn’t like the Senate bill you would not risk it.
....Posing for the cameras. If they had the votes, it'd already be a done deal.
March is not that far from November for House Democrats. They had the votes many times and yet their is no Health Care.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:
http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html
This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollees cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
Snip The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.
Snip
Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.
President Obama and DoD assured NAUS and the entire military family earlier this year that there would rightly be no increases in any Tricare fees in fiscal 2010, Matz said. We took them at their word, and I cant believe that a co-pay increase like this was allowed to go forward, he added.
They have cofidence in the vote on a bill that has never been seen by a single Congressman or Senator. And it is to be passed by Reconciliation? Scorched earth outcome is coming in November!
Its now called “a up and down vote “.
The serfs figured out that Reconciliation was BAD !
Oh they changed it again? See how much I listen to them?
The Senate version doesn't have the anti-abortion funding language of the House version and that is the only reason it barely passed.
If the Bill passes the House, it is already passed.
The latest Poll tested term on how to confuse and lie to the public.
OK now I understand. Mr. Congressman please sign this blank bill, and trust me to fix this after passage. Do I understand how this works?
I believe in an up-or-down vote.
November 2010. Write the bill. Publish it. Let Congressional candidates go on the record for or against it in their campaigns.
Massachusetts already voted “NO”.
the very minute that they do, we will know. because it wont matter what day of the week or weekend, or what time of day it is, they will call for the vote.
If they think that they have the votes on saturday at 2am, that is when they will do it.
Till then, they are not sure. The last thing that they want is a tentative vote where it all goes south because of one.
