She slammed ole Joe pretty good.
Sweet you, mutmeg. RonDog can tell you about the audience. I will just say that he and our FRiends were LOUD and made it great!
Sarah did a fabulous job on Leno! I am so gald I TIVO’d her segment and very happy that RonDog told us ahead of time that when Jay escorts her off the stage, she doesn;t come back. I stopped recording right there~~~!!!
Thank you for your report on Letterman’s sorry show. Romney was a fool to go onto Dave’s hate-fest. Nice that he spoke well of Sarah. That’s all I’m going to say.
YES. We each have our own TVs in our rooms....I could hear him laughing out loud from mine....We’ll discuss it when he gets up tomorrow.....He reads usually at night...Noticed her book was by his bed again tonight. (3rd time through)
He says anyone who reads it will vote for her and that we all should by multiple copies for our local high schools. Some will be voting in the next election.
Ah, I understand now! Thanks.
Anyone of us could name-drop 100 names that could run for POTUS in 2012 but here is why they won’t:
1) They simply don’t want the job or to run a two year marathon to get the GOP nomination.
2) They can’t raise enough money because they are unknown or just not popular
3) Lack of charisma, eloquence, sex appeal etc.
“Many are invited, but only a few are chosen.”
She didn’t miss much in the way of opportunities, she did an excellent job talking politics in a natural way, and covered a lot, from the tea parties, to tax cuts, to media bias, she hit on all cylinders. She made a lot of good points, so what if she didn’t address a small point on medicare. Her joke about the snowboard twisting loops on Obamacare was far more effective than trying to wonk out a point about medicare.
LOL. He’s a dear! He’s a sweetie-pie.
I agree with him, too. Read her book and you have like her!
No coronation happening from here. But it is true, she has the inside track if she runs. She has too many attributes that dwarf the field. Sorry about that.
Well said, the both of you.
Quit raining on the parade pissant. What happened to that jovial fellow of yesteryear? Heard any good jokes lately?
Nam Vet
Wow, Lakeshark! Very impressive. I concur.
I am SO blessed.
*rolls eyes*
:-)
Sorry, couldn't help myself..............
Yes. You’re both blessed.
Women don't wear those anymore since Present Obama started wearing them
That's the very heart of the problem with BO.
Unfortunately. she missed the opportunity to say a lot.She did.I was really hoping she'd take advantage of this appearance.
This show was not so much a POLITICAL event, as much as it was a PERSONAL appearance.
Her goal was to let Middle America see that she is just like them -- CONTRARY to what the media would have them believe.
Mission accomplished.
She can do a POLICY speech later, elsewhere.
Happily, there were many FReepers in Leno's audience tonight! They were loud but polite and SO supportive of Sarah... it was great. :o)
I only heard a few minutes of Letterman's show tonight, but yes, the audience was vile and intolerant. I never watch Letterman anymore (except in rare cases), so I don't know what his "usual" audience is like these days.
Way back in the 1990s - before Letterman became so vile and "political" - my husband and I were in his audience in NYC three times. It was just a fun thing to do in NYC at the time. They make you wait in line for hours out in the cold/heat/whatever, then their "cheerleaders" gin up the audience to laugh at everything that comes out of Dave's mouth. Back then, the audience was a mix of young college-age kids, NYC residents, people like us from the NY-NJ-CT area, and tourists from all over the US, Canada and Europe.
UGH, I didi *it* again.
Worse yet, *you* caught me and I didn’t see my typo until now.
Thanks a lot, KILLERSHARK.
Sarah will get plenty of opportunity to “talk shop” but you don’t get that many chances to be on the Jay Leno program and to do a monologue in front of millions of people.
Americans will know that Sarah has guts. And a leader with guts is what America needs right now.
