Hey there Geeba-Geeba.
Good evening. Hope you’re doing well, fair hostess. We were getting worried about you.
From Cleveland GOP
Quick storytime......
On Saturday a Brooklyn Heights Police Officer was struck by an out of control vehicle rounding a snow and ice covered curve near the intersection of 2 local interstate highways. The Officer, 42 year old Lt. John Lambert had stopped to give assistance to another vehicle who had spun out on the same curve and banged into the guardian rail on the side of the curve.....
Just before the out of control car made contact with Lt. Lambert, he put himself between that car and the 18 year old driver of the car he was assisting and pushed him out of harms way before the other car struck Lambert, sending him over the guardrail....
The 30 year old driver of the second car immediately got out and is seen running back to her car to call 911.
Lt. Lamberts injuries are a broken pelvis, assorted other broken bones and a damaged eye socket. He is in hospital recovering and is in fair condition. The young driver was interviewed and calls John a hero for keeping him out of harms way before worring about his own well being. The other driver may be charged but local authorities dont think it will press any charges as she stayed at the scene the entire time....
The story has been plastered in the local news since Sunday and was even on the Weather Channel this morning.
So what does this have to do with me. Other than knowing John for more than 20 years through my close HS friends who all grew up on the same street in BH and numerous get togethers, parties, weddings and Ohio State games I see him at least twice a year for sure!!!
Im quite sure he doesnt consider himself a hero and he was just doing his job.
I think we know different though. Thats what happens when solid families stay together!!
Please keep John in your prayers.....
Same old same old.
Evening CC dear.
