On the March 1 broadcast of her program, host Joy Behar featured a panel to discuss the tea party movement on its one-year anniversary. But rather than including tea party backers or even impartial observers, Behar talked only with people diametrically opposed to the tea parties and the views their mainstream followers hold, including the openly socialist senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, liberal talker Stephanie Miller and Bloomberg's Margaret Carlson. Behar cited a Feb. 17 Wall Street Journal column that was highly critical of the former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and the Tea Parties and pondered how the Democratic Party could take this on.
"Well, you know, it was interesting that Dorothy Rabinowitz of The Wall Street Journal wrote this week I quote her, and she said, that the Tea Party is a group of, quote, ‘conspiracy theorists, anti-government zealots, 9/11 truthers and assorted other cadres of the obsessed and deranged,'" Behar said. "Now, do the Dems even have to take on the Tea Party when their own side is attacking them like this?"

CSPAN? I don’t watch them much but I did happen to catch some of their call in show with Larry Sabato the other day. Larry’s analysis usually is quite accurate and he says barring some major upheaval the Republicans are in for a good year. As far as CSPAN goes though I thought it was quite odd that so many people calling in on the “Republican line” sure sounded like Dems!
Regarding the putrid Joy, her show is yet one more example of media double standards. She and her ilk on the left can spew all kinds of hate and nonsense and she never gets called on it. This garbage just contributes more to the billions in free advertising for Demo candidates and lefty causes.

I read Rabinowitz’s column, and while she’s very critical of Palin, nowhere does she say Tea Partiers are racists, etc. She was referring to certain types of people who are attracted to Ron Paul. There’s a big difference. But that type of lying smear is something libs do all the time.
Why are her speeches and rants not classified as hate crimes?
With the super low ratings her show has they can’t keep it on forever. Foxnews in the same time slot is beating her by 72%.
