“The Big Enchilada!”
That's how a spokesman for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee described the endorsement that came the Democratic congresswoman's way Saturday afternoon. No, it wasn't from a senator or labor union, as important as those endorsements may be to the incumbent from the 18th Congressional district. This one, it turns out, was the biggest enchilada.
“Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is a tireless champion for Houston's working families,” President Barack Obama said in a statement released by the Jackson Lee campaign. “That's why we need her back in Congress to help my efforts to bring real jobs back to Houston and the nation.”
What must make the president's words especially galling to Jackson Lee's challengers, City Council member Jarvis Johnson and local lawyer Sean Roberts, is that they challenged Jackson Lee in the first place in part because of her steadfast support of Hillary Clinton in the 2008 presidential race.

Don’t knock outhouse rats. I got hit with a bout of dysentary in Guatemala during a late night monsoon torrential storm. Had to put on boots, a poncho, pants, and hold a flashlight in my mouth, go up a muddy path, slide down a muddy path, jump a new stream, and go up a hill to the outhouse, all the while keeping my knees together.
By the light of the flashlight, I saw an outhouse rat (I think it was just a very large mouse because his ears would have made Mickey Mouse jealous). However, it was the two very deadly Fer-de-Lance snakes in the outhouse pits that kept us on our toes, literally. I guess they ate the rats in order to survive.
That was one night to remember.
PS: When in a jungle, NEVER EVER drink the water off the floor of a jungle, even if you think it is fresh. You’ll be sorry. I was.

I think that most Americans, (even those that helped put this joker into his present position), are realizing nowdays
the kind of people that that he supports,appoints,his selection of best friends, place of worship, personal advisers and a continuing list that has no end. The worse of the worse! Those that hate America as much as he and his closest circle of associates and close family members. A type of people that are not shy to openly admit how they feel about the USA,capitalism and our way of life in general. Look at all that he has already destroyed thus far (in just one year)! Our way of life, and the destruction that he continues to strive for in our near future. What is really sickening to me is the fact that he has a variety of supporters of his agenda, mainly in the media, house and senate that are more than willing to help him on his search and destroy mission... Those that could expose his evil agenda “for the good of the country” for what it really is and what and how this beautiful country is purposely being utterly destroyed while we the people witness it all on a daily basis and feel helpless. It seems that too many of our elected officials has the time to hear our voice and become involved until recently. Now I see people being awakened to many things that are happening to this country, like, just a decade past most people would never have dreamed what are now the topic’s for discussion in our highest offices and what we are personally witnessing in these days especially from our so called representatives. WE must remain focused on everything through Nov. 2010 and 2012 to assure ourselves that this experience that exists today will not happen so easily again. Then maybe some good will come from this mess we find our self in today for the future generations.

I know what you mean by intimidating. I encountered one in Vietnam that literally stood its ground as I was approaching. The temptation to zap it was nearly irresistible.
